Passing a budget in the middle of th night is sketchy at best. They all should forfeit their entire salary if they don't pass a budget on time. In addition they should be required to spend only the budget, NOTHING more!

I owe nothing. I didn’t give them permission to spend any money on stupid stuff. The politicians who ever wanted and voted for the money spending should have to pay it back. It is worthy that he is having this monologue, but it is now 8 months later - and what good did this speech do? I've heard others give this speech too (their version) - but nothing happens and the debt gets worse. The one thing that would bring back control is if the US voting public put people out of office who have failed to create a budget. No politician who has not created and KEPT a budget in their term of office should receive a pension. There should be a pay scale - entry level politicians should be on the low-end and only get a raise if that have a budget and keep it.
