I have never drunk-texted before. I have nobody in my phone book, other than people that are my taxidriver, my hairdresser, my therapist, my family and my neighbours. And most of those are 60 and would reply in all caps; 'ARE YOU OKAY I HOPE EVERYTHING IS FINE GREETINGS"

TheGoldenStardust - And as a Swiss person, you would not identify as Swiss, but as from your Canton; and you would know that Switzerland doesn’t have a single President; and that the current President of the Confederation would not be on an official visit to the UK to be eating at Buckingham Palace ..!

@@ketmaniac switzerland has 4 main languages you "swiss expert" xD And yes we mostly just say we are swiss because if we use the cantons name nobody would get it. Germans say they are germans not they are schwaben, no one would get that.

A joke that involves the "president of Switzerland" (whether there is such a thing or whether there isn't) does not require an encyclopaedic knowledge of Swiss political structures. My post was not serious, you see. (But, still, I'll make a note of how many languages Switzerland has, just in case I ever need it for another joke).

For those of you wondering: - We (the Swiss) don't have a President as such. We have the Bundesrat which is comprised of 7 people who collectively stand at the top Politically. One of the 7 is the 'President' and is hence seen as the president of Switzerland from the outside, but really the 7 share the responsibility. - Yes, a swiss roll is actually Swiss, we just don't call it that we call it Roulade or Biskuitroulade. - Yes, our government is very complex and would take ages to explain fully. - Yes, Switzerland is both beautiful in summer and in winter. - No, the Swiss Family Robinson are not really that famous here in Switzerland. - The swiss put bells on their cows so they don't get lost when in the Alps over summer because they roam free up there the entire summer and tend to get themselves in trouble.

Thank god somebody did that ! I was wondering if anybody would mention the thing about the Swiss president. Also, I would say that Switzerland is beautiful in any season if you know where to go. Even in the fall, the Riviera near Montreux is the most unbelievable scenery with the grey lake, the snowy mountains, and the vines becoming yellow and red and brown and incredible. Look it up ! Yeah, I love my country...

Wow! Stumbled onto this - I watched Miranda on PBS when they showed two eps a night, and saw them all within a couple months :) Love the surprise of seeing David Tennant at the end!

I’ve been watching a bunch of these today and noticed almost everyone has a ‘signature’ for ending texts. Is this a regular thing in Britain? I literally never end mine with anything.

@@dolphinka oh, weird. I know you could put an automatic signature into texts and stuff back in the 2000’s but nobody in the US does that anymore that i know of. I’ve never texted anyone with a signature in... hell since prolly 08

@@Memphis_ritz People wouldn't do it if they send it to a friend who they are in contact regularly. but if you send a text to a person you maybe send text 2-3 times a year, those are signed. You never know if they changed the phone or deleted your phone number, this way they will know who texted them:))))

I guess it is. I'm 24 and from what I've seen from friends and people on my social media they add "x's" on. It's not something you have to do to. I'm British and never put kisses on, but a lot of people do and it's usually females. I only ever use an "x"to sign off when I'm sending cards to people.
