Kate, It must have been difficult to see Sean heading off for the military, for you! It is something to be proud of and he'll probably connect with people who will be his friends for the rest of his life. The funny thing is that Korean Idols perform for the military and you may find that you have both met the same idol in person, just in other places! I think you can also visit him at certain times as well, so the time apart for both of you won't seem too distant. It was nice of you to show this personal and private family moment. I'm sure there were tears in everyone, some like your grandfather remembering his day's and also the pride he feels, some like you and your family, wondering in your heart, how will he be, will he be alright! The Katusa is a good area to go to. I was united states army stationed in Waegwan and we treated our katusas as our fellow soldiers. So he will be well taken care of.
