As a Nigerian, Senegal is one African country I respect in terms of Football. The output of talent in terms of numbers is just crazy for such a small country with little investment in Sports. Diouf, Fadiga, Diop, Camara, Dembaba, Cisse, and now Mane. Just incredible

First world cup game I ever saw. That legendary dance celebration by big Papa Diop is an iconic world cup moment. Senegal deserved to win too Fadiga and Diouf were the best players on the pitch.

Was a incredible Cup for Senegal and african continent. A team in your 1st WC beat the actual World Champion in the first match isn't normal, Senegal deserved play against Brazil in that Semi-Final; it was a great game.

Steff Rivera I was 11 as well and I was in Dakar with all the celebrations I was in a back of a pick up truck with some buddies the driver was going ham on the gas pedal the car went over a speed bump and we all fell on the road 😂😂😂...good times...At that time all the roasters were getting chopped ...lmao

Junto con Camerun en 1990 y Ghana en el 2010, este Senegal tuvo el mejor desempeño de un equipo africano en la historia de los mundiales y los tres llegando a 4tos de final. Aunque sin quitar merito a Nigeria en 1994 que tenia un equipaso y llegó a 8vos, pero tuvo un gran desempeño sin duda.

Yeah am still a France fan but this game helped me become a Senegal supporter. I think France got way too big headed in this tournament. They overlooked everything. Can't blame them too much though. They won in 98. 2000 Euro champs. 2001 champions for confederation champion, then in 2003 again champions. That France team was special man.

What to do? I can't determine whose journey was the best. I saw Turkey's journey in the 2002 WC and now it's Senegal's. Both of whose journey was extraordinary.
