You can change the bridge types, so the trains can go faster. You also dont need these long stations, you can Just add some storage. But great series. :)

I tend not to use end stations if at all possible for a couple of reasons. Firstly, the station connection to a road/industry is greatly reduced. And secondly, trains have to travel all the way to the end of end stations, (like they do), whereas they only travel to the centre part of through stations. I've never really liked the terrain tools in this game. They're either too strong or not strong enough. Levelling takes ages and costs a lot for seemingly nothing and the lower/higher tool is somewhat over-zealous, (although that may have something to do with the strength it's set at), when wanting to speed up the levelling process. Cuttings can work well, sometimes, especially when going around hills and mountains, although tunnelling straight through a hill/mountain is also fun, but costs a fortune to do, generally.

to help with road stations with truck shipping and backups, just create a 2nd line doing the same thing just going to a different platform

U can do one way out street at the truck depot and add buildings at the depots to make it take more cargo at the platforms

Don’t forget to change your bridges and tunnels

You should work with the terrain. Much more realistic.
