RAYNE is back! This 12 year old German Shepherd is in to see Dr. Doug for his second adjustment along with his loving family. He has been having some issues walking, mainly with his back legs giving out and requiring a wheelchair, but there were some small improvements, let's take a look!

The leading organization, in my opinion, that has Veterinarians and Chiropractors that become Animal Chiropractors is the Animal Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA)
They have a website with a "Find a Doctor" tab/database: www.animalchiropractic.org
This a good resource for all that are looking for a well trained doctor near them.

Wondering if Epsom Salt soak of hind feet, in tub, for 10 minutes would help to relax muscles 🤔 I have noticed on my older dog I've been crushing 1 (one) B1 vitamin in water, then add dry food to soak, before feeding. This is working to release toxins much better from her system. Love your work and I think Rayne is surely feeling much better also. LOOK OUT DOGGIE PARK!

Rayne is a handsome guy! His family being dedicated to giving him his best life is always a good thing. I generally have to make multiple trips to my Chiropractor, to get things sorted out, as well. My spine and spinal cord are a mess, too. Thankfully, I rarely feel pain of any kind. The Dr. couldn't explain why, which I thought was weird. I'm guessing that my spinal cord going all over the place is the reason. Thanks, Doc, for your love and dedication to your adorable patients!

It looked like Rayne was liking the little jackhammer, until his hip area. He was walking a lot better. I would still keep his grippy socks on for hardwood and tile because it's so slick to walk on. Anyway so glad they came back. Great job Dr Doug and mom and dad. 🤗 As always have a great night everyone!!

Doc, Did you notice that when he walks he turns/pivots his back left foot and lower leg out rather than bringing it straight through? I saw it at then when he was walking in the hallway walking toward the camera. With an animal with a weak back end, it would be easier for it to stand on a rug/mat than the slick floor. Seems it would be easier to adjust them if they were more stable and not slipping.

3:44 that's so interesting and true also! Because what I re-remember / re-memorized now is the fact, that I had a bit of scoliosis problems (from my young age, because I grew too fast) and when you said this, I remembered that my chiropracter said: I could go to the therapy session (if I may named it like this), but if I'd have the same status (better one), I wouldn't needed the sessions, only the visit once per half year? It's so interesting that you said this and it's amazing to know that it works around the world (I know that I can't describe the thing as I want, but hearing now that this is something, what has name - "muscle memory", is fascinating for me as the "normal not too much-studied human in biology").

If a dog has been eating a grain based diet as in most brands of dry food they can like us be full of "Oxalate " damage which results in numerous issues in tendons ligaments and tendons as well as internal organs as well ..It's especially bad if the animal has been given Antibiotics as a treatment in the past ...In any case well done Douglas on helping with Rayne's mobility :)

Im a dog owner. I truly love my dog but I would do some serious soul searching on whether this is a good life for him. There comes a point when owners are keeping their pets alive for their own reasons and not thinking about the dog. The happiness of the animal is what matters. Why would you not get her off the wooden floor so she wouldn’t be sliding around and being super uncomfortable?😫

Very empathetic man, lovely manners, good heart, but let me remind you all that literally none of this is backed by any science so it's about as valid as any other person cooking up a story about what helps random creatures do whatever. Showing an animal a Disney video with the same amount of love will be about as effective as this. But heck, most of the world is make believe. Have a nice day all

That Dog needs carpet in the home for traction! You are making it worse for him, with no leverage. Sad. It has contributed to his hip dysplasia..poor guy. Seems like a sweet guy, and patient with the Doc. Just too long of time has gone by. Imagine how you would walk getting out of bed on an ice rink, and having to deal with that all day.. it has really deteriorated his muscles, and strength. That’s why he has the spasms.. :(
