Encore Piece: Just A Closer Walk With Thee
This program is meant to showcase the journey that many, if not all of us, go through as we find our path to walk with God. In this journey, you will see this person go through trials and tribulations from her birth in Christ to her rebirth. The Lord is My Shepherd is where our character gets her start! She is on fire for God and is very naïve in her innocence, thinking that nothing can come between her and God. She admires the works of God in the 2 Nursery Rhymes set, but then she is disrupted by some rose tinted glasses in Del Cabello Más Sutil. With new love making her swoon, she begins her fall from grace.
In Smanie Implacabili, she discovers that her newfound dream is being threatened when her love is urged away by war. Not knowing if he will return, she cries out in hysteria at the thought of losing him but over the course of a few months, settles down into a calmer, yet still depressive state. In Suleika, she writes letters in hopes that he will get them, but has not heard back from him for a while. Crying out to the wind, she sends her last hope out to him through the universe. It is then that she receives notice of their love finally ending - whether by death or love affair, we shall never know, but in Le Temps Des Lilas, she demonstrates her deep mourning for what has now come to end. Her depression then turns into anger as she curses love in Che Fiero Costume and marks herself as a scorned woman.
After wrath, God humbles her and punishes her with the loss of her mother - the one who taught her everything she ever knew about God. In Con Amores La Mi Madre, she is reminded, by her mother's last letter to her, of what being in love with God used to feel like for her, which builds a slow-burning yearning for Him once more. She knew that she had to repent and rededicate herself to him, so after recanting her experiences in life through the song, 못잊어 (Unable to Forget), she repents in Pietá, Signore. God then forgives her and restores to her the joy she once felt and she once again appreciates the beautiful creations of God along with the journey that has lead her back to him in the song 꽃구름 속에 (In the Cloud of Flowers).

LadyPerez is a singer-songwriter, actress, artist, dancer and writer. She is currently a Music Recording major at Youngstown State University's Dana School of Music under the vocal instruction of Dr. Misook Yun with a double minor in Spanish & Business. She has previously been seen in shows with the Youngstown Connection (2017-2018), Opera Western Reserve (Macbeth, Lucia di Lammermoor, Porgy & Bess, Madama Butterfly, Macbeth), The Youngstown Playhouse (Nativity: The Hope) and has even written music for and acted in the Easter plays at Rising Star Baptist Church (2013-2019).
She was seen in the show 'A Salute to Motown: All The Hits!' by Ms. Martha Robinson-Brogdon in 2022 and in The Color Purple Broadway Musical in September and October of 2021 which was under the direction of Trevail Maurice Smith in collaboration with The Youngstown Playhouse and the DeYor Performing Arts Center. She was also seen in the film 'The Land of Escobar Part 4: The North Star' and was the lead role in 'Penny & The Willow Tree' produced by Brian K. West at Method 8 Inc. She was last seen in 'The Polar Express Experience' in December of 2022.
