Nice to see it’s basically the same as in 1958 ~ 1968 when using steam hammers. BSP (John Gill) of Claydon, Ipswich (UK) had around 10 of the old steam vibro piling rigs at Ince Farm. It was just a field when we started in about 1966, 6 days a week piling and Sunday morning for maintenance. No H&SE, hard hats optional, no safety harness, just a tight grip on that podger and bean can with the steam oil for the hammer control valve:)) Steam gave way to Broomwade compressors so I transferred to Mowlem and the Immingham Oil Terminal beginnings. D12s and D22s made life easier:) Nice videos, would be nice to get ‘hands-on’ once again!
