So today I went and bought these anyway because there are some great reviews and information popping up. The consensus is they are basically the same as the MTW3s but some small upgrades. I don't have the 3s so this would be a fresh start for me. First off these fit amazing, much better than my EX2s, AZ80s and Airpods P2 and fit is probably my number one concern because if they don't then I won't even want to wear them. Secondly the sound after doing the personalization is better than the AZ80s to my ears. EX2s are number one but the MTW4s are a close second. However as an overall package I rate the MTW4s as my number one, because they have more features than the EX2 which have virtually zero ANC and ambient is lacking. I do here the hiss but only in total silence and I don't ever just sit w earbuds on in total silence.. I think your criticism is a bit harsh but respect that everyone has different standards. In the end you're one of my more trusted reviewers but my experience isn't the same as yours with the MTW4s and after giving Flossy shit, I sort of agree with him on the MTW4s.

And when you say the M4s are the best earbuds in a stack of the best and don’t corroborate any common issue the M3s had and now the M4s have then I know you’re being bought, plain and simple. So far most say they sound the same so there’s no way in any honest person can say these sound better than Beoplay EX2, those are the undisputed champs when it comes to outright volume and base. If you say these M4s are better in the sound and bass area, you cappin.

EDIT: i would like to say after a few days with these, you MUST use the personalized EQ. It really transforms the buds far beyond what the manual EQ can do and gave me a new perspective and opened these things up. the ANC is still mediocre but the sound is pretty phenomenal and beats the bose in everything except deep bass but the overall sound profile is much better. coupled with a quite good app and customization features, id say they are very good buds, not just decent now. im keeping them over my QC Us despite the meh ANC. the solid fit gives good passive NC so its not a deal breaker. I bought these hoping that other reviewers were right and you were wrong. You weren't wrong 🤣 They are decent buds but just decent. They aren't the new king, the ANC isn't special or shocking, they sound good but not amazing. I'm coming from quiet comfort ultras with the best sound and mind blowing ANC so call me spoiled but these cost the same so these should spoil me too and they don't. Sadge. Does anything else have as good of bass and ANC as Bose QC U?

I appreciate your comment and respect for doing the independent testing. Other people will realize I have no reason to lie on Sennheiser and the MTWS4 aren’t worth it. No buds gonna be perfect, that being said in my testing the best all around is AZ80. If you’re chasing ANC you might have to stick with the Bose Ultra.

For sure! Glad you’re enjoying them. I get what you mean about loudness, felt the same way at first but after a while on higher volume they open up some more. Also I use a small U shape on custom EQ Will drop a new video with AZ80 info soon

And another thing, I have bought all of the earbuds that I have (all 40 of them) according to youtuber that they are good and they are the best and when I get them and take them out in the field I get so disappointed and the worst part is that I spend so much money and I can even use them in the field that I do, I'm a truck driver and well when I drive I can't even have a conversation because the mic's sounds so bad I have to take them off and use others one, I thank you for your hard working in testing this mic's on the earbuds, thank you.

I suspect everyone is or will eventually. They use old component and a poorly shielded design just like Bose. This can’t be fixed via firmware so you either live with it or exchange the for the better buds Technics AZ80.

you cant be taking seriously its sounds personal and to say that these earbuds aren't worth it is crazy when the momentum 3 was amazing and these momentum 4 just got even better and added future proof features these are better then all them earbuds you brought up. and if you talk and sound the az80 aren't even the 5th best sounding earbuds. these are the best sounding earbuds that are better then the az80 , bang and olufsen eq or ex, bowers and wilkins, devialet Gemini 2 , and master and dynamics and of course the sennheiser momentum 4

2:49. Thats not really true. Atleast not with el jefe and flossy carter.They both said its a warranted upgrade. Not just a lil update. In el jefes review he compared to 4 other buds and it got higher rankings. It got top ranking in sound and 2nd in nc tied with xm5. In floss's ranking these r his number one pick.

Saying THEY would upgrade vs telling people it’s generally worth the upgrade is two different things. El Jefe made it clear his bias and preference while highlight all the same issue I did. Flossy Carter suppressed my comments on his video. Not the same. They can spend their money however they want and I like having different opinions. We can all agree censorship is almost equal to admission of guilt.

In your opinion, which are the best buds for phone calls/mic quality? I primarily use my buds for work- making calls in the office and in the car. So voice clarity is my main concern. I recently switched from an iPhone to a Samsung phone, and bought the latest galaxy buds 2 pro. And I'm very disappointed with them compared to the call quality I had on the iphone13+2 yesr old air pod pros. Would appreciate any thoughts on which would be the best buds for me. Many thanks to anyone who has suggestions

That’s going to be a tough one. Apple AirPods have a strangle hold on the market when it comes to call quality. Leaving it up to the community to recommend something since I’m not an android user like that.

@Fredo.heavyy thanks. Appreciate the honest response. I didn't expect this to be the downside of getting a samsung phone! I thought finding good buds for calls would be easy given home many there are to choose from. I don't even need killer noise canceling- just don't want to have to repeat my self on the phone or have customers saying "where are you, I can't hear you that good!" (Which has happened frequently in the last 2 weeks since I got this phone and buds.)

Update on mine. DAY 4 of owning these and testing them out, the left ear bud's transparency is stuck in either wind or anc and wont let any sound through. Silver lining? The high pitch buzz is not there any more. Trying the AZ80s tomorrow and sending thes junks back to Sennheiser. Thanks for the honest review. Subbed.

Had the MTW3 lost them in a hotel. Pre order MTW4 and they really sound exactly same what a shame. I have android phone but Samsung sucks can't even try lossless. Don't get me wrong they sound great but not worth the price. They just changed the paint and the ear tips. Can't even use anc because the noise it makes annoys me even the music I play doesn't sound the same with anc on same as MTW3. I will send them back and try AZ80. Thank you for the great review

@@radiofreealbemuth Yes, different devices support different “codec” and audio formats. Certain android phones can take advantage of Hi-res audio streaming service. The Technics AZ80 are one of my top picks at $300 price point. If you’re on a budget check out the Tozo Golden X1. Both those buds have good android support, amazing sound, great EQ, good ANC and Aware mode.

Best all around bud w/ the most innovative tech (3 point multipoint, amazing ergonomic design + fit, ear tip have foam to protect from wax, multi band EQ) Just got to burn them in with you’re favorite genre, no way you wouldn’t be satisfied. Enjoy your buds!

I have the az80 and they do sound good, but they don't sound better than the status 3ANC which i also have. They are more comfortable. The noise cancelling on AZ80 is ok, could be better. And they sound really good. No question. But price for price. I wish i would have got the status first and then i wouldn't have 4 pairs of buds. I'd have the status and the perl pro which is all you need.

Got a couple options depending what you’re willing to sacrifice. The Bower and wilkins PI7 S2 or Astell & Kern AK UW100MKII would be my pick at that price point. You’d be sacrificing on top tier ANC + Aware mode but sound would be the “best”. If you want more usability + performance it’s the AZ80 or The Tozo Golden X1. Both offer all the best features (multi point, multi band EQ, amazing Fit, great BT connectivity ETC)

Honestly I haven't found any BT earbuds that sound cleaner and thicker than the Denon Perl Pro and Devialet Gemini 2 as of yet. No discernable distortion at any tolerable volume and just incredibly balanced. Those are probably my top picks just for sound

@Fredo.heavyy yeah I get that. Guess my ears run big cause the Denon felt pretty secure and comfortable for me. The Gemini 2 I honestly didn't keep cause of the price. They're excellent buds but should be in the $300 range.. not $450. Plus I buy earbuds mainly for transparency and call quality and for those categories i found better choices at lesser prices. Even though the Gemini 2 sounds great as a standalone TWS and I will recommend them for someone who wants the best sound quality without having to walk around with multiple devices, I can still get better sound from a cheap but decent IEM and DAC for the same price, but again that's solely for sound

To be fair, you didn't talk about or look into the codecs available, thats the key selling point on the next gen TWS, specificially MTW4. aptX loseless is a game changer and LC3 set ti replace SBC. those are big steps, ontop of all the bogus 'features' you mentioned that are mostly gimmicky anyway. peace

Set the Transparency gain in the Sennheiser app to a mid level and the hiss sound is almost neglectable, but Transparency still sounds normal. No need to set gain to maximum.

Im coming back to your video after I tried these on and because we went back and forth, as I thought there is no way your review is solid. But I acknowledge my mistakes and you are right, these are absolutely GARBAGE. I cant believe how anyone would pay this price for such terrible product. The fit is terrible, no comfort, they are heavy, the sound honestly is good, but not so extraordinary to make up for every other aspect of these earbuds which is total trash. I still dont agree with you on the Jabra Elite 10, however. These are the best all-around buds out there. Best comfort, IP57, amazing sound (for me better than the MTW4), great ANC and also €100 cheaper. But anyway, just for this video, I am subscribing!

Now ur not gonna believe this…This Annoying Hiss goes away..when u turn off the Not Needed Transparency Mode. Ur True Wireless Momentum 3’s and 4’s sound Excellent when you have a 10 Band EQ ..Use Neutral EQ and have and outside source..My 3’s Sound Excellent! English is not your first language, is it? The MTWS4 “buzz” + “hiss” because of BAD components and poor shielding. The mode doesn’t matter Bozo.
