I can see sonic having a good sense of directions and knowledge of geography because of the constant travel he does on his own world. But also not because he's the type of person that gets lost but somehow finds away to get where he's going.

I think that's because he's fast so he technically can't get lost. Getting lost is not just no sense of direction but basically being in the same place for a long period of time but with speed you can just keep running until you find something in a much shorter amount of time. How long it usually takes for you to not get lost is pretty much all that matters.

There are a few reasons. One he knows land markers. The second is he has learned how to tell time using the sky, which is a real thing. He literally sleeps outside, so he’s learned how to use the sky as a map.

I personally like to think he does get lost, and just stumbles upon whatever the closest most interesting thing in the area is, then just decides that this place is where he was supposed to be going all along

So it isn’t confirmed, but it is kind of hinted that sonic knows how to use the sky as a map, which is a real thing that is still done.

@@Glitchyy07 the anime. In the show, sonic talks about the sky a few times: saying that it looks the exact same on both worlds. He also said he knows a thing or two about earth and moon rotation, because he was the first one to figure out that something was going wrong during an eclipse. He figured that the earths rotation was being tampered with before tails. And then sonic is always outside running, and even sleeps outside. At night, you can see him stargazing. It made me wonder if maybe that’s how he has a good sense of time and direction, considering celestial objects like sun, moon, and stars are often used for that purpose.

I mean I always know in which direction something is in my town, cause I walked all around it for hours upon hours Considering that sonic is always traveling around the world it's basically the same thing, but on a waaaaay bigger scale

I love that headcanon of Sonic being a geography nerd, and as someone who studies geography as a hobby, I say it, it's fun, of course, Sonic has more fun because he can go to those places and see them whenever he wants.

I really like the dubbing! One note of critique; I think you could have the VA's annunciate a little more, some of the words are slurred together making it hard to hear at times 🤩Keep it up!

Dude Canada doesn't have an equivalent in the Sonic universe. Look at the world map, there's North America without Canada! Mexico and the US are there, meanwhile Canada's just gone- BUT THERE'S STILL AN EQUIVALENT TO PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND??

Bro uses the sky to tell where he is in sonic x, so it’s prolly the same here. I also like to think he kinda just has a natural sense for it, just being so in tune with nature
