I have started to go to confession and pray more ever since I listened to Father Chad Ripperger.

“I’d rather die than commit a mortal sin.” A saint said this.

This is the most horrible thing I've ever heard and deep down I know it's the truth. Oh Jesus have mercy on my wretched soul. I thank God that I was able to listen to this sermon while I still have time to repent.

God have mercy on us, Save us from the fire of hell .

After studying with the Jehovah's Witnesses I did not believe in hell but listening to Fr. Ripperger I do not doubt that he'll exist.

That is truly terrible it is beyond horrible.

I have vowed to say two rosaries a day for the rest of my life. I'm 64 and I still fear I might go to hell. Please pray for me

I'm a Pentecostal and the Father is fire and brimstone even by my standards. Someone who goes toe to toe with the Devil knows that there is no middle ground in Christianity.

I always wondered about people not bothering about hell. This kind of presentation tells me those people somehow know where they're headed and s8n keeps them in complete confusion about the reality of hell.

That is downright terrifying. God have mercy.

One thing not mentioned is in the dream of St. John Bosco is that the boys could free themselves from the traps by having a devotion to the Blessed Sacrament, and a devotion to Our Lady, as well as confession.

This is all anyone needs to hear to wake up and save our souls and pray intensely for ourselves and our loved ones who do not practice their faith

It is a scandal of the Church that the majority of priests, Bishops and Cardinals do not preach the pains of hell and the salvation of souls. God have mercy on us.

If any of us want to enter the kingdom of Heaven, then we better start clean up 🧼 our act and make sincere repentance for our wrongdoings. And the best way of making sincere repentance is going to the sacrament of reconciliation. If you go to the sacrament of reconciliation and make sincere repentance for what you did wrong, you’ll be able to receive Holy Communion. But if you don’t go to the sacrament of reconciliation and repent, you won’t be able to receive Holy Communion.

Listening to this talk alone could drive one crazy. nonetheless, one has to listen and comprehend the consequences of not trying know and live for God.

Points that are mentioned in the talk, but not sufficiently stressed: Hell is self-inflicted; God doesn't want anyone to go there. i think its not good dwelling on hell for too long.Let God deal with that. I think its too much for humans to dwell on.We need to just take it as a warning and a healthy dose of fear of being separated from God.

I acknowledge that the soul in hell experiences pain "accidental" to the pain of loss of God (pain of senses) but I don't think we are bound to believe that they take these exact forms or that they are at such a great intensity. After all, we know that God's mercy extends even to the damned as they receive punishments far less than they deserve. Unless someone would like to give me reason to believe otherwise, there is no reason that the pain of senses would have to be so intense since the duration of their sufferings (existing throughout eternity) would already make them immense.

Yes, if we cannot love God because of our choosing, we should at least fear God and His perfect justice. I understand that our offences against God are infinite but what more does it say about God, when this Hell is eternal even after the Final Judgment? Any takers? Does His love for the Elect in heaven require justice without mercy for those who must remain in Hell without their own destruction?

I thought that this verse referred to this soul being in purgatory, as he is asking for help for his family. A damned soul would never ask for anything like that as he would be full of hatred and could never wish the well being of others, not even his family. Am I right or am I missing something?

C.S. Lewis says that hell is cold, there is no burning love of God therefore the deeper you go the colder it gets. Dr. Scott Hahn says that the devil, being a Seraphim (burning one), loses his glory but not his burning nature. Therefore those that enter into hell enter into the burning mystical body of the devil. Both make are good arguments. As shown in the video, most think burning like Scripture defines it. Thoughts?

Whats the difference between mortal sin and other sins i was under the impression all sins would be forgiven so long as you truly repent besides maybe blasphemy against the holy spirit the way its spoken about here it sounds as if your sent to hell because of your sins rather than failing to accept christs gracious offer of dying for your sins which kind of ties into i believe aquinas who says the gates of hell are locked from the inside meaning all those in hell are those who chose/want to be there any insight that can be offered i would appreciate it thanks!

Nowhere in the bible does it mention hell being an everlasting conscience torment for man. The 2nd death is death of the soul. Eternal separation from God. God is LOVE and his MERCY is great and his judgements are RIGHTEOUS.

The damned are in the eternal lake of fire because (instead of doing the sensible thing and climbing out of it) they see something(s) in the dark, fiery waters that they insanely crave. They seek for all eternity to grasp it, but forever it eludes them and is unattainable. Yet, bound by obsessive sinful craving, they persist, despite the sufferings. What do they crave ? - pleasure or power or exaltation or darkness itself, are the principal cravings.

Ripperger should heed his own warnings and diligently consider the sedevacantists’ arguments against the validity of his ordination, because if we are right, he will certainly end up there after a life of administering invalid “sacraments” and leading souls to hell.

I'm sorry but the Christian God comes out of this looking like an absolute monster. It's one thing for God to separate Himself from or even to annihilate an incontrite soul, but why would He design an actual torture chamber of such breathtaking magnitude if He is a loving God? If a government devised a prison that imposed such conditions on prisoners for even the most egrgious crimes, we would rightly deem it barbaric. I can't think of any sin that would warrant such extreme torture for such extreme duration. Worst of all are the circumstances that lead to damnation: you have maybe 80 years to get your spiritual hygiene right. Why should so short a time have such eternal consequences? And yet the damned are supposed to see the justice of their being damned? After 5 million years in Hell, will they still feel that what they got up to for a few decades aeons ago warrants their continuall torment? Doesn't make sense. In short, I see the hand of Man here, manipulating believers with fear of the consequences for the tiniest of infractions. It's the totalitarian spirit at work. I want Christianity to be true for the good it brings us in a fallen world, not for the threat of violence that hangs over you in the next life if you get a few things wrong here. That's the coercive spirit at work and it's just plain nasty.
