So the little boy Aiden who was killed was my student 😢 He was always the first kid to run up to me in the morning and he’d always say he missed me SO much even though I just saw him the night before ❤ He loved dinosaur books like nobody’s business. He was on his way to school when he was killed. It was such a profound loss for us all but my class was never the same 😢

Imagine murdering a 6 year old who was on his way to preschool solely because his mom flipped you off. That’s literally all that happened to “provoke” the defendant. I really struggle with calling this road rage because there really wasn’t any real interaction between the two parties and he wasn’t even driving. In nearly all road rage cases that end with bodily harm for one of the parties there is always a lead up that creates that rage but that just didn’t happen here. I really think he just shot at the car because he thought he was bout that life and wanted to impress his girlfriend. That is going to be a ROUGH 40 years since he’ll be in a CA state prison and he absolutely deserves every second of that sentence. I hope his girlfriend also gets the max on both of her charges

Road Rage is so scary these days. Even though I carry an Sig and my fiance a G19, it doesn’t even guarantee protection unless you can our draw and out fire the person raging. It’s a dangerous world we live in and each year it’s gotten that much worse. I feel for this mom so deeply, it’s why we don’t even use our horns you never know who’s unhinged. Someone here in Wichita a couple years back was shot in traffic just for using their horn at someone.

I remember this incident. The women pulled over on the highway after then shooting and heard her six year old son say "mommy my tummy hurts" and saw he was shot in the stomach and died.

I about got shot recently in a rode rage deal. I jumped out. He opened his door and had an AR with a drum mag sitting on his lap. He said I’ll shoot you man. I smiled, turned around and walked back to my car. I didn’t feel scared but I ain’t stupid. I definitely learned a lesson about road rage. I have a friend that got sliced up with a box cutter pretty bad down in Florida road raging.

Wow, that's the first time I saw someone get a harsher sentence for not having a prior criminal record. I guess if he had slipped up a few time before then the judge would be able to connect the dots better. Wouldn't have needed that extra life sentence.... it make no sense.

Not excusing this guys behavior but as a wounded warrior, sometimes people get really rude & aggressive with me on the road. There are a lot of mentally stressed Veterans driving around that have been injured by exploding vehicles amongst other creative ways our opposition came up with to fight us. We just got done with 20 years of combat. We never had a chance to settle down yet because of other events that happened. Please be kind on the road, if someone is in a hurry, it’s ok to move out of the way if possible. If there’s nowhere to go, then if you’re the one in a hurry, please show some patience! Its not like you’re going to pay the other person’s speeding ticket & riding up into their trunk just makes them(& me) slow down to mess with you anyways. I flash back to Iraq & reach for my camping knife(I don’t own a gun, I have felony)& at certain times get an impulse to pit stop your car when you rudely speed by. I can’t help it! It’s my dysfunctional fight or flight system that’s kicking in. So, chill the F out people! You don’t want to go to your crummy job anyways!
