On Ink Master, eighteen tattoo artists from around the country will battle it out in permanent ink and sometimes with each other for a $100,000 grand prize, an editorial feature in Inked and, of course, the bragging rights title of ‘Ink Master.’ This season it’s not just about the rivalries the artists create during the competition, each contestant comes with their own personal tattoo rival - their master or apprentice.

Best episode ever! He was so happy when he picked Craig! I remember making a comment on Twitter and Craig responded saying one of the best days of his life. I’m sure. ❤️❤️

This made me cry. People with special needs are SO IMPORTANT!! My older brother is autistic, and he’s the biggest inspiration in my life. I don’t know what I’d do without him. I want to get a puzzle piece symbolizing him one day.

The lady saying she wants to get a meaningful tattoo to have a conversation about down syndrome, I feel like that is a great idea. I have a tattoo symbolizing my autism and I love talking about it with others.

sassy every single person with down syndrome that i have ever met which has been one in school who moved away right after ri got there so i didn't get the chance to know her very well unfortunately , a guy who used to ride the bus every day when i was in grade school and some who i worked with in a state run home for the disabled which had all ages of people and all ranges of abilities... many whose parents had surrendered their baby at a safe drop off place when they were only a few days old or even in the hospital after giving birth when the drs told them the extent of their condition and most never came back or visited they just seemed to want to forget. i can understand being overwhelmed, but just turning your back on a part of yourself is crazy to me... i have never had to make that decision myself, and i don't know what they were going through. maybe they believed truly that their lives would be somehow better without them there? maybe they were battling addiction depression who knows, but there is always a way where there is a will... and I also met one young man who worked in the warehouse at one of my companies have always had such a positive attitude and smiles and hugs every day, and just lit up a room with their personality... they are just like anyone else and they go through sadness and times when they are depressed but my friend from work was never concerned about the way he saw himself versus reality by that i mean he wasn't comparing himself to anyone else unlike my other coworkers who were upset if someone got praise or promotion they thought they deserved, and besides when i was a kid in school and she was sad when other stupid kids would make fun of her, she was who she was, and there was no pretension or "I'm better than you " type of shit this is also why i love animals they are who they are too there is no deceit or lying even to spare feelings lol my friend from work said what he meant and was more honest than most other people i have met throughout my entire life... he also was very quick to embrace people in every sense with a hug and as a friend he was loyal to a fault and was never thinking how he could use someone to get ahead... another friend of mine got successful and cut the rest of his band loose... just as an example, no one could talk him into doing something like that ever, he was a pure soul you know I'm not sure how to describe it as words fail. there are a lot of enviable traits we could learn to emulate from people who don't are both more complex and yet have a simplified way of looking at some things, and a complex way of looking at others, and most of all the thing that stood out to me is the connection they feel they have with the world, animals, other people, nature, the wind, they find joy in the littlest things and we used to be like that as children but we loose it as we get older some more than others but it is like rediscovering this way of looking at things and appreciating things that is refreshing. people can get so cynical me included... the world has so much shitty stuff going on and people being unkind and just awful to each other over stupid BS. its nice to be reminded of what matters. not to be all cliche-y. but it is all true. not every person with down syndrome is a earth bound angel... but the ones i have met have such a unique ability to get past the walls of even the most negative people if they are around them and willing to just interact with hem and participate in a conversation... with my friend i have seen amazing changes in people in a matter of minutes, just facing their fears, closure over deaths, it is weird. i didn't like set up these meetings or anything i just mean in general in everyday life... its so nice to see this and I'm glad its a great idea and i love to see the smiles and everyone enjoying themselves. :) life does eat us up and spit us out sometimes, and to get back to what made the world so wondrous and magical as kids, when everything was possible and we weren't gullible, but we believed that if we really imagined something and believed in it it could be made real... when santa claus visiting every house in the world in one night didn't make us stop and say.. wait a minute, how? thats ridiculous and scoff at it.. and what made the monsters in our closet real enough to scare us and make up call for our parents and lie awake in fear... our imaginations were working overtime... we enjoyed what life gave us without questioning it or wondering if we were good enough or feeling guilty or stroking our ego or whatever hangups we acquired along the way growing up... and asking how? and being practical isn't a bad thing and is in fact essential to growing up and living in the world and also is the first step to acknowledging reality so that we can find real ways to make miracles happen like the cold hard facts of physics etc that make shootings possible after studying them and having enough imagination and daring to dream and enough practicality and knowledge to learn how to make those dreams happen... this is what makes an airplane fly and things like that possible, learning our limitations and finding a way to transcend them. sometimes we get caught up and beaten down by the monotony and we don't dream and take the first step to making a difference and we thing reality is that things just suck and accepting that and most things well many things not most do suck... terrible shit happens every day kids die of cancer and people kill each other over nothing...greed and corruption rule politics, etc. but reality is not all bad...and something like peter pan's pixie dust is almost like keeping people in a young state of mind the same way our kids teach us as we teach them everyone has something to teach you if you pay attention and you are teaching others too whether or not it is a lesson of how not to be happy and satisfied and feel like you have made some small difference in someone else life is entirely up to you.. and that is enough of this sappy after school special for today everyone lol i will get off my soap box and stop preaching to everyone, lol. sorry. but it is true no matter how cliche... there is a reason why this wisdom has been repeated so much that it has become cliche... not everything cliche is valuable or true, but this is true...

My favorite winner of Ink Master is Steve Tefft from Season 2. But my favorite SEASON is season 6. I loved this one because most of the contestants all brought their best foot forward and cranked out their best work when the situation called for it. It was also MUCH less dramatic than Season 5 (Rivals).

I remember this being a special episode that really hit the artists in the heart and inspired them to do their absolute best and they ALL came through. Best episode of any tatoo show. Heh, notice all those rebels and crazy characters dropped the crap and fell right into a respectful and serious attitudes the minute the guests walked out. All of a sudden it wasn't about them and every one of them knew it without question. That's called respect and shows a person has a heart! 😁 👍
