Honestly I feel like Thunderbird could do with a pretty substantial buff, because when you think about it the spear got nerfed way too harshly when it comes to recoil. And T-Bird's gadget may be good, but the problem is that it heals the enemy team and T-Bird also loses her nitrocell and her impacts. In a broadview I would say Doc and Rook are way more Superior when it comes to heelers than T-Bird, which means there's really no viable justification to bring her over Doc or Rook. I rest my case T-Bird needs a buff...

Striker has been very solid on attacking sites like downstairs Bank to disable Kaid charges and pop hatches

As to the lighting, I’ve seen it mostly in killcams, and occasionally on drones, but there was one match my stack played and we all experienced strange lighting on Border during our first defensive round

I’ve been playing siege 9 years straight just about and I’ve been watching content just as long and I’m surprised I’m still not bored of this game😂😂

varsity with your artfacting have you checked your ram on your pc i had a similar problem on with a different game i had to take it out and put it back in

Don't think of Striker and Sentry replacing Recruit. Think of Recruit getting promoted to top class of ops.

Artifiacting could be from a setting on the nvidia control panel if you use nvida cards. Make sure you check the box that says "let the 3d application decide," and it might fix it

12:54 The difference between vulkan and Direct x is how your Cpu and Gpu communicate. Normally, only one thing can be processed at a time between your cpu and gpu, so your gpu will process something then your cpu then back to the gpu. With Vulkan, they can both process at the same time and still communicate with each other. This means it literally doubles the processing power of your computer. Example is with a 3080, at max settings using direct x i have around 100 frames but in vulkan I would easily have 200 frames. As pointed out though, there are problems. Cpus handle particles while the Gpu renders those particles. Since the two aren't waiting for each other, like with direct x, it can lead to artifacting with particles. His artifacting with the barred window is more likely because he doesn't have high antialiasing on as you would get that with any game in any engine without antialiasing.

7:03 it gives the trap operator kill credit so long as the trap operator is still alive when the kill happens. if lesion was still alive when the down happened, you would have gotten an assist instead. but you got a kill since he died.

@VarsityGaming have you considered using a proximity detector and a C4 underneath to create a offsite kill scenario (because it literally pops up on the right giving you a reward when you detect someone)

So erm these visual issues are either due to Vulkan or TAA. I've noticed issues running the Vulkan api and generally weird ghosting are results of TAA so it could be that. I always turn it off in every game or find ways to do it really makes every game look shit in motion.

Bouldering is a great hobby i picked up with some friends this year and highly recommend trying it out for some possible content on another channel perhaps.

I like sentry a lot because you can set his load up to be the same as OG Mozzie, which I use to run ALL THE TIME. So far this season I’ve only gone the normal ops 3 or 4 times in ranked

I started experiencing the hit reg issues since Steel Wave on console, and it only stopped the season fenrir got added

I’m finding that clientside stuff seems to be wonky more than just hit reg, because I’m finding that sometimes I’m seeing people way before I should and vice versa and a lot of the close door angles will either give you loads to see or nothing at all

Regarding the hitreg issue. I had a game yesterday where a Blitz got shot through his shield in the head somehow. Then again I’ve been having a bunch of times where you can literally hear someone getting shot in the head in the killcam and they don’t die

The artifact bug is caused by Vulkan version of siege, try using DirectX or the default normal one. It was fixed for me

I once was in gun fight with mozzie and couldn't hide, we were literally in front of each other dancing and shooting. ran out of bullets right as he was about to throw a c4 at me. i think i had one bullet left and i hip fired and it injured him before he could detonate the c4..... the timing on that was crazy lol I still have the clip somewhere I'm sure

While i understand people not liking the recruit rework as it deprived them of a fun playstyle with 5 recruits and recruits with shields, i personally never did that much and i really like how the new recruits play. The guns are good and they are just sooo versatile by having shotgun secondaries and just whatever gadget you could need for a specific site or map, im playing them quite alot and i feel like they will be used in pro play aswell given the utility they can bring but yeah, still quite lackluster since its all we get for the season

Regarding the artifacting. Have you met anyone else with the same issue? Did you swap your GPU recently? Try swapping to another GPU if you have a spare lying around and try to see if it still have artifacting. It may be a faulty GPU or GPU compatibility issue

Have you experienced Flores glitch yet? When I use his drone it instantly switches back to me holding invisible gun and Flores drone just keeps driving on its own.

I don't know if it's old news, but Keeba barricades are busted on hit reg. You can not do close angles at all on them.

They have good guns, and solo queuing in diamond/champ lobbies, they are great for having EMPs and a hard breach. On defense, I still prefer lesion and mute, but on sites that I want to make rotations and have a deployable shield, then I’ll pick recruit.

If you ever retired, it would be sick if you just made content like you do on the variety channel

I have that artifacting long time ago on ow2 fixing it by changing in-game graphic settings (forget what it was unfortunately). If youve tried anything else, then maybe try reinstalling gpu driver with display driver uninstaller?

Lots of issues this season. Like more than I’ve ever noticed from any prior. Operator gadgets not interacting, Brava drones don’t hack stuff when they should. I think I shot a meistro cam like 6 times in a game over the weekend, I’m thinking did they buff the cams to counter being hacked? Turns out it’s a glitch. Dieing to being shot used to happen when your hit box would be hit, now seems my hit box is my shadow and I’m dieing from a foot or two behind me even replay shows my operator a foot from where i was killed. Seeing a lot of players out of region in my games too. East coast servers seem to be getting players with 40-60ping in matches.

ive had hit reg issues with the walmart brand terrorist hunt ai thingies sometimes ill hit like 10-15 bullets and they take maybe 1 bullets worth of damage

I've had crazy hit reg issues personally, every time I try bring it up in game and ask others if they've noticed it too I get the chat message bug and I can't speak xD.

They played it waaaay too safe with the recruit reintegration that really took all the fun out of it

Hit reg has screwed me over so many times. Siege is supposed to be a one shot headshot game and when I put 5 bullets into someone’s head I expect them to be dead. So after putting multiple rounds into someone I look away thinking they are downed/dead. But they are not and kill me soon after.

I only noticed the weird texture glitches after I updated my GPU and maxed out the graphics. I don't really seem to notice it on medium/high settings though

The reason the hip fire is so good is because now there is a splash fire, it’s like shooting a mini shotgun a bunch of times

Hit reg is definitely off but it's a lot more noticeable with ops like Kali and Glaz

R6 needs a buff a lot of bugs and glitches right now apparently they aren't all the same some are experiencing problems with cursor menu audio cutting out hit registration and siege crashing

Striker is really good they need to give Sentry an ACOG for Mozzie’s gun because he doesn’t even have an ability it’s not like it would be broken

First night using both and I went 14-2 and aced one round. I think they are great for players who won’t use the gadgets on other ops.

vulkan currently has ton of visual bugs, antialiasing is not working properly, breaking stuff have artifacts... i switched to directx version and this all is gone... but still many bugs in game - drone/cams movementhas "deadzones", hitreg is horrible, silent C4s, silent plants, silent defusing

I shot some one point blank with vigil shotgun and they made a sound that they got shot but they didn't any damage.

Yeah I have had a couple headshot incidents where I thought I had a kill but then I die right after and they have no damage, my friend showed me a video of that same exact thing happening to him (console btw)

brother speaking of hitreg, I caught a kaid with his back towards me, shield melee'd him, first time he went down, secont time I heard the hit sound but he kept getting up, third time I had another hit sound and still he ran away

I definitely notice weird particles this season, also text chat is broken but my mic in game doesn’t work so i need to give callout to teamates and i cant even do that. This season is mid in my opinion. Also got cheaters in my games trying to rank up already. 3 have been banned and got 7 elo back of the 30 you lose 😊 amazing.

Try out different anti aliasing settings for the "artifacting". Usually works in different games with similar problems

ive had alot of issues with hit regs especially head shots it couldn't be my ping bc I play 20 or less ping 90% of my games

Yea I have noticed Hit Reg issues both ways....I have had headshots that never register or i get headshot and when I watch the playback they are clearly hitting above my head or in my chest center mass. (no its not hacks because the person who this happened too didnt get constant Head shots). Also the chat bug is bad for folks like me who get into games where NO ONE has headsets or use the VC....there have been games where i couldnt let the last alive teammate know where the last attacker or defender was because all my chats dont go through or vanish.....

So when i look at that one clip of the maverick not hitting the headshot on Bandit. It almost looks like in the kill cam on Bandit end that he was moving way bfore maverick even shows on screen but on mavericks end he sees Bandit clear as day. So while yes maverick did headshot him i think it was a game delay

(long comment warning) 100% having hit reg issues. I keep clearly shooting people's domes off and them taking zero damage. Another thing I'm having is terrible lag. I started playing during tubs season and I have not had any lag issues until this season. Ik it's gotta be with seige servers cause on the first day of the new season I had terrible lag immediately but had none just the day before and have had it everytime ive played since. Also having matchmaking issues. I'll enter matchmaking, and it will just go for 10 min straight until i cancel and redo matchmaking. sometimes, it will work the second time. Sometimes, I have to cancel and enter again for a third time. This season has just been frustrating tbh. Almost ready to just put seige down for this season because of how unplayable it's been for me. Very long winded comment but if anyone reads this pls comment and let me know if you're having the same problems aside from hit reg. Cause I can't tell if it really is seige or my computer. cause my computer is getting a little old.

Having the same problem on console, shot a castle in the head game didn’t register it. Castle proceeds to headshot me and then kill the rest of my team

The hit register is definitely lacking and was lacking since deadly omen at least for me, I had many situations in which I hit someone directly in the head and they didn’t take damage , it’s crazy.

I was able to retire around 30 and came back out within 2 years. It sounds nice but unless you have unlimited funds for travel, it gets super boring.
