I’ve been through some hard times and have been gone a while but I’m back and you’re still here! With each stroke, color and layer you bring out the features of each person so perfectly and beautifully. You are still “The Watercolor Master of Portraits” that I’ve watched so many times before. I glean everything I can from you and try to absorb the knowledge and techniques from you so I can only hope to be a small portion of an artist that you are. You’re amazing and so gifted. He evidently sees details not seen by we mortals. The wrinkles, the lines on the face, captured perfectly. He replicates colors so perfectly. A watercolor with such photographic details which only a master can do.

What kind of paper did you use?

I mostly use baohong (academy, artist-rough-300g) or canson arches-rough. This video is canson. Thank you for watching.

Maestro Misulbu: you are my favorite portrait artist. You inspire me and thrill me with your artistry. I am building my color palette and want to use similar colors to yours. I read in another comment that you use indigo, burnt umber and ultramarine. May I ask what other major colors you use in your palette? Which reds, pinks, yellows, etc? The colors I usually use are vermilion, yellow ocher, rose madder, permanent red, brown, vandyke brown, yellow green, peacock blue, cobalt blue, ultramarine, opera, black, shell pink, blue grey, violet, sap green, lemon yellow is. Thank you very much for watching.

Thank you for sharing another beautiful painting! Is the first layer of the face dry before you paint eyes and lips? Are the colour mixes the same for both layers? May I know what brush is the two-sided brush? I never saw a 2-sided brush. Thank you, master.

Yes. The first layer is dry. And the mix of colors is the same. The double-sided brush was made by myself for ease of use. Thank you very much for watching.
