Unavoidably, I am Seojun and Jugyeong shipper. I've been aiming to cheer myself up by watching k-dramas, known for delivering straight forward, one season only entertaiment, but I guess it's just my luck that I keep rooting for the second leads. This time however, there was nothing I could do to avoid it 😪 These two are my favorite part of the webtoon, their relationship is literally frenemies to friends to lovers excellece, and in the k-drama even though the dynamics is a bit different, they're still the ones who get along best, and there's way too much reference from source material for me to be able to help it.
Plus, look at them!
I also ship her with Suho (it kinda hurt me to edit that 'he don't deserve you' part haha), but these two just cater to very specific interests of mine, and I'm a sucker for angst, so here you have it.
This edit is pretty simple, I made it quickly to get it out of my system, but I actually love it cause the song just hits where it's supposed to.

They'll eventually date, the kdrama isnt treating him dirty, but they're following the webtoon plot. In webtoon, seojun didnt get any chance before he dated jukyung

bruh suho never got a chance but when he does you HAVE to say something I appreciate Seojun he’s a great second lead. Still, he’s not the one for Kyung or the right person as people keep trying to say, he and Suho are still equal on terms with who she should be with. The person she cares about is Suho; the person she loves/wants is Suho. She’s not thought of Seojun in that way so respect it. There is so much more going on in this show than this love triangle, so much more to discuss and fight for, each character is human and makes their mistakes, but they’re all so understandable and relatable, and the pain they suffer is just insane, the psychological trauma they all hold is too much to bare, and I really hope they find their way out of this

Why Seojun is a dream guy for everyone? He is not manipulative, he let Jukyung do whatever she wants. He is not insecure. He's more of a confident man bcoz he NEVER did any move with Jukyung starting the day when he knew that she is dating Suho. He's a family oriented man, strong on the outisde but a soft baby chic for his mom and sister. We knew it, Seojun best boi.

Also Suho is ALWAYS there for Ju Kyung he cares for her so much and even did all of the stuff to make the guy who kidnapped her apologize and beat up so many people for her. Seojun and Jugyeong should have ended up together. Suho knew about Jugyeong's true face and then fell in love with her. But Seojun didn't know about her real face and still fell in love with her. He accepted her even after knowing her real face and loved her. I felt so bad when Jugyeong chose Suho. Seojun is the perfect man for her, they should be together.

Seojun is the realistic representation of falling in love with someone. It's slow and steady at the start but once you reach the peak it accelerates like the drop of a roller coaster. He initially never noticed Jugyeong and only paid attention to her because of his rivalry with Suho but as he got to know her better, he slowly learned more about her idiosyncrasies (silly antics like roaring, weird habits like finishing the drink from the mouth of the cup) and fell in love with her slowly for who she is! Such an organic process, and he only got to know her through the time and effort he spent getting to know her in and outside of school and now at the part-time job. Seojun understands her frustrations, worries and desires and he unconditionally supports her at the expense of his own time and feelings. This is true love!

Feelings are feelings you can’t force them lol it’s baffling to me how everyone is hating on her when she’s just going for who she acc likes. it's hard not to be when I've read the webtoon, Seojun is a true good boy, and the one we would all have picked in real life ❤️ Suho-type characters are great in imaginative love stories, but real love is about that playful chemistry and all the little things that we see between Seojun and Jugyeong... Seojun cares about Jugyeong so much and it shows. Suho is messing with her feelings and he confuses her (sometimes). Seojun is there for her even if she doesnt want him to. Plus their friendship is really cute, they act dorky most of the time and i just wish it could develop into a relationship... *both Suho and Seojun have amazing qualities, i just stated my opinion so stop coming at me :)

Honestly, I feel she is more herself when she is with Seojun than with Suho, despite him not knowing her true face. They roast each other, joke around and have fun together. Their scenes are always lively and hilarious. People will argue that she behaves like a dork around Seojun because she has no romantic feelings towards him. Well Yes, that is very true. But just imagine a love built out of such friendship. She has already shown Seojun all her antics, weird and crazy personalities and now he knows her true face too, and he still loves her. If you ask me, Seojun is the one who knows Jungkung better. She is always cautious around Suho. But I,m not implying that Suho is not good for her. WE have all seen how sweet he is and that he very much deserves her. My point is, What could be between Jungkyung and Seojun is a love story that could be so magical and passionate. I mean, what's more precious than falling in love with your bestfriend. But this is just my Opinion.

Seojun I’m sorry he is the warmest sweetheart and so caring. SPOILER The most recent episodes 9 highlight I believe there is going to be negative tension between her and Suho as now Soo-jin likes him too. Going back to episode 8 If a guy makes you cry that’s never a good sign. Soo-jin who likes Suho has known him for 10 years it’s a developer friendship. We have to be true to ourselves Seojun has supported Jukyung through everything. From the way he cared for her when she was sick, to forming a solid, non-forced friendship with her. She truly looks warm in his presence and herself. If these two aren’t end game I’m going to be annoyed at the director. Their chemistry is no joke and it would be nice to see a second lead getting the girl. Though I think Seojun is stealing main lead spot at this point.

i swear at least a thousand of these views are from me. i can't describe how emotional this edit makes me. i have always been team seojun but the way hwang in yeop played this character was just so undeniably amazing. he took all of the best parts of seojun and made it better. this edit just proves the weight of seojun's feelings to jugyeong and how much of a good friend he was to her. he may have had certain flaws, but he was so good to jugyeong. he took the time to take care of her, pick up the pieces of her heart that suho would break. he was so strong to just sit there and listen to her say she liked suho, he didn't do anything, just continued to comfort her. maybe he didn't have the secret that suho and jugyeong shared (her bare face), but from the very beginning, we knew he wouldn't have an issue with it because of gowoon. when he did find out, not only did he not care, he took lengths to make sure whoever made jugyeong suffer paid the price. seojun treated her like normal, and the one time he did mention it, he told her she looked just the same. you could tell that her confidence increased tenfold. and even though seojun still tried to shoot his shot at the end of the drama, he knew just how much jugyeong liked suho, and when the latter came back, he decided to settle things once and for all and push jugyeong towards him. han seojun was such a great person, he gave so much of his time, effort, and love, to someone he knew would never like him back.

But just cuz he doesn't have a family doesn't mean he deserves her more. In the hospital Ju Kyung did not care about Seojun at all... And Soojin is pining behind Suho so she obviously only cared for him. Seojun might have a family but otherwise he has no one to trust.

she isnt self absorbed, she isnt interested in him that way. Whats wrong with that, she sees him as a friend, how is she supposed to know that he has a romantic interest in her and it hurts that he cant have her. If she was self absorbed she wouldn't have saved that girl from getting bullied. I get that seojun stans feel protective of the character, and that is completely valid, but dont hate on other character's to prove your point.

As a webtoon reader, I can say that SEOJUN by far suffered more. Seojun lost a friend, LOST HIS MOM, had to stop college and work because he needed to provide for his sister. He stopped college to work which was very hard on them. He became the sole provider of himself and his sister. While Suho was being a sadboy in a webtoon abt daddy issues. I guess u could say I was ANTICIPATING this scenes in the drama but unfortunately they didn't include it(i think knowing that the drama will end at 16 eps) . Now if there ain't twists happening like everyone expects Suho ends up with Jg. Ig the writers did a bad move cuz in the end it became cliche and boring.

OMG YESSS, SAME THOUGHTS. I really think he suffered more tribulations than Suho did. But unlike Suho, he don't have the leisure and the luxury to be depress. He is the breadwinner of his family and he carries a huge responsibility. And if you read his backstory in the webtoon, you'll see that he too has undergone a somewhat similar state of depression like Suho for awhile. He cuts classes, always gets into fights, always comes home bloody and beaten up. But then when he saw his mom begging at the knees of the principal, his mom getting worried and sick for him, his sister having a hard time too because of his actions. He realized that him being in that depressed state, also hurts the people around him. So yeah I think he suffered more tribulations than Suho, but people don't see it..bc unlike Suho he don't show his vulnerable state that often and he don't shed tears that often.

I know it isn’t real, but comparing people’s problems to someone else’s doesn’t make one’s less validated or less deserving of a happy ending. I’m not caught up to date with the WEBTOON so I don’t know as much, but they both lost a friend, not just Seojun, and doesn’t Suho not have a mother? Seojun grew up with love while Suho didn’t. Also, Seojun literally blamed Suho for their friend's death like ???? who does that? Everyone deserves their own fairytale, but just unfortunately for Seojun, Jukyeong wasn’t meant to be his princess. Like what @done withit said, whether at 10 feet below or 20 feet down, you’ll still drown.

Suho suffered too. They’re friends- i get that you love seojun but boyyyy its not that deep. Also in the acc ^ tv drama, seojun still has his mum and financially they seem fine - he’s modelling etc. Suho in the DRAMA anyway seems to suffer more to me: he doesn’t have a mum and feels heavily neglected by his dad. Seojun demonises suho in his mind blaming suho and wishing suho dead because of what happened with their friend. His own dad’s company drove his friend to commit suicide- he couldnt do his music anymore bc it reminded him so much of his friend & at the end he had to move to the US- having to separate from his girlfriend who he really loves- to care for his sick dad for two years, not even being able to carry on studying which is something he probably loved to do since he was so good at it. Taking all this into consideration in the drama... who really suffered more? It shouldn’t even be comparable.

Same (2) But seriously in the webtoon both guys are great and deserve JuGyeong. I honestly can't pivk because both guys have their own charisma and good qualities. Although, I am a SuHo girl but again, I will be alright with whoever JuGyeong ends up with in the webtoon. On the other hand with the kdrama adaptation, I just can't with how they have characterized SuHo. Hence, SeoJun is my pick for the drama.

The fact that he tried to let go and hide it because her happiness was more important to him then his own , he never gave up on her he will still be there by her side for her if she needs him forever , it hurts she didn't pick him . He deserves the world .

This was the first drama that I wanted the second lead to have the girl ,I was rooting until the end and I am still not over .The way seojun loved her ,no body can ever
