To get to the Han River where you can see the World Cup Bridge in the video, it is the fastest to get off at Yeomchang Station on Seoul Subway Line 9. You can't go by car, so it's also good to ride a bicycle from Seonyudo Park or Yeouido.
The World Cup Bridge was built to celebrate the 2002 World Cup, opened in September 2021, and is said to be Korea's longest construction period. (11 years and 4 months) It's a hot bridge that hasn't been long since it was built. I don't think I've ever driven across this bridge yet. When it comes to external presence, I think it stands out among the Han River bridges. It was impressive. When the weather gets warmer, many people will visit here by bicycle, and they will rest here.
I walked a little bit in this neighborhood to find the way to the World Cup Bridge and it was fun. Even in the back corner of this ordinary neighborhood, I had a distant memory. The process of moving toward the Han River as much as possible, passing through the Olympic Boulevard, and reaching the Han River is always interesting.
