a week in seoul! my daily life in seoul of going cafe hopping, hanging out with friends, and going to work. it's been a busy past couple of weeks - i reunited with my friend sam!! got a chance to visit a cafe and brunch place that has been on my bucket list for quite some time. it was also my mom's birthday so we celebrated her birthday with a nice lunch. also sharing some of my mundane moments with my corporate life while working and living in korea. oh, i also got a chance to look around sweet park which is the new hot spot in seoul as it's a massive dessert pop up place located at shinsegae!
(as always i’ve provided a list of all the places i went within this vlog if you ever need an itinerary list for your trip to korea so you can plan a day of cafe hopping and shopping in seoul)

Im so sorry about your experience at the salon, if you have power and energy to do so, I think it is fair to complain to the salon manager. i think you were mistreated there, and were charged for something you did not want. Even if an appointment was long ago, it seems like it was a hard experience. Hopefully not over-crossing the boundaries here, just wishing you to feel better ❤

You're right. Hair is something very personal. There are so many good salons in Korea, but apparently not this one. As a Korean male, it reminded me of all the times I've gotten my hair cut in the states and they never cut my hair the way I wanted. They would always cut it too short or not evenly. It's pretty upsetting. I've been cutting my own hair for a long time now. Positive is that hair grows back 😊. I hope you find your go-to salon next time. My wife got her hair cut (me too) and colored a couple of times in Korea, and she loved it.

truly, there are so many great salons in korea! sadly, i just got really really really unlucky…im just trying to see the positive and that my hair will grow again😅 it’s so important to find a place that understands your hair and what you want :)

I AM SO SORRY FOR YOUR HAIR 😭 It happened to me too and I cried almost all night because of it. Hair is such an important part of feeling "beautiful and confident" and it really crushed me. So I ended up getting extensions because I couldnt wait 😂

Happy birthday to your Mom! The hotel buffet looked amazing! I am happy you met up with your old friend moving back to Korea. Good friends can resume as if they were never apart. If I were you I would not go back to the same hair stylist. It was disrespectful to cut so much of your hair without you being aware. All your meals and cafe stops looked delicious 🤤. I also enjoyed much of your music on your vlog. Thank you for sharing your week!

Sweet park looks amazing, I would probably faint from having to choose from all of the delicious options 😂 I’m so sorry about your experience with your hair, it’s really unfair to you that you were treated that way. I’ve been taking collagen peptide supplements and they’ve been helping me grow out my hair, I highly recommend if they’re accessible to you! I wish you the best with your hair journey ❤

Hi, Loved your vlog. So nice you were in good company with an old friend. I do like your hair cut but understand your dissatisfaction with it. I can't count how many times I had a bad cut, color and style. Yes, it will grow, and you will learn for it, don't pay more than expected next time. Trust your gut and stick to your original plan going in for your hair cut and expected cost. Your mother's birthday lunch looked great and happy belated birthday to her. The chocolate strawberry roll cake looked mouthwatering not to mention the buttery French toast which you know I love. I enjoyed the music and another fine vlog from you. Cathy

I would return to that salon and report that stylist. They didn't listen to you at all, disregarded your concerns, and then cut your hair without discussing the length you were comfortable with. And on top of all that, tried to sell you a service you definitely didn't need; your hair looked amazing beforehand. Completely unprofessional. I do think you can pull off medium length hair, but that salon should offer a free trim to align the ends and layers.
