I think the main difference between Thailand and Malaysia is that Thailand plays more freely and confident doing all types of crazy tech, while Malaysia is more rigid and uniform. Love both nations tho

Sepak takraw from Kedah Tua(south thai and north malaysia). History told that someone accidentally kick the ball straight to son of sultan head,, he bcome angry and kill that person, the killer(striker) got name.. But there are some group that try to remove words 'sepak' (kick) is malay words.. like badminton original from india but india not powerfull. So even u power thats sport, doest mean original from thats country. Bcause this is old sport before malaysia and thailand exist.

Watching this video shows that you don't just need to be at peak athleticism to excel at this game, you have to be clever as well. That Thai number 1 at 3:22 just caressed the takraw with his sole while still doing a full flip so the opponents fully expected him to put his foot through it with a spike yet they were completely dummied. I at first thought that it was all for show, but there's a fair amount of strategy involved in it as well.
