Oh yeah, that's the Michael magic! This song is a masterpiece, the way it's building up, the choir and the layers of Michael in the back that always give me goosebumps. Those words in the end leave me all teary, especially with the choreography in mind.

Yessssss! You finally got to this song!! This is my personal favorite from him because during a real hard time in my life I used to hear it a lot and kinda sung it to him, asking him to be there for me in a spiritual way. Regarding the impact that he should have had you will understand along your journey that he started to write more and more about social and environmental issues and that bothered a lot of people. So, the allegations came, the media started to ridicule him even more. He became a target. The world did not understand that this man was all about love, togetherness, peace and healing the world. He was and still is so much more than a performer… Thank you for your reactions! Love MJ for ever! ❤

“Will You Be There” Is the eighth single from MJ’s 1991 album “Dangerous”, doubling as the main theme for Free Willy, appearing on the movie’s soundtrack. The prelude to the song features featuring the Cleveland Orchestra and the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus performing the last movement of Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 in D Minor, Opus 125: Presto. Will You Be There ~ Is about God, MJ’s asking him for help and if he’ll be there and stay with him during the tough times he was going through in that period of his life,also how folks in the world was against him,he’s asking God to save him. And he mentions River Jordan in the beginning of the song,and says things like carry me,lead me,show and I will be there like he wants a spiritual rebirth or he feels like this is a turning point in his life where he’s asking for freedom.🥹🙌🏽👑🤍💕🌟(This song always pulls at my heart strings and hearing MJ’s voice is unmatched filled with soul,passion,power,emotion & just pure love/carefulness no overly technical singing like most singers are and this song perfectly displays MJ’s AdLibs they’re so majestic yet so powerful these are the best AdLibs I’ve ever heard in any song ever his vocals are unmatched MJ Is The Greatest Singer/Vocalist Of All Time Long Live The King Of Music Forever! Vince Patterson directed two music videos for "Will You Be There". The official video included Jackson performing the song during various stops of the Dangerous World Tour while scenes from Free Willy centering around the friendship of Jesse and Willy are shown. The original VHS copies of Free Willy included the music video prior to the film. The second video from Dangerous: The Short Films contained the full length of MTV's 10th Anniversary special performance intercut with the Dangerous World Tour footage and footage of the fans.)

OMG SEPH! Finally! Michael loves classical music. Also, don't forget that he was a black man, so this type of music is definitely part of his roots. @amanda-loreto
@amanda-loreto 2 ай бұрын
@@Carol-dq8nj Please, don't distort my words, of course gospel music is not something just for black people, but let's be honest and go back a little in the history of music - gospel, which contains potentially black roots and cultures. And another, he was always inserted into this reality, since he was little, his mother sang in the church choir, and later, he himself sang too... I don't think there's anything very wrong with that comment. In fact, if you want to talk about "Michael's messages", just take a look at what he says and presents about roots and culture, and how much this influenced him throughout his career.

Such a beautiful emotional song ❤ I LOVE the lines "But they told me a man should be faithful, and walk when not able and fight til the end, but I'm only human" ❤ I interpret that as saying society says that men have to have that image of being "tough" and not showing emotions and Michael acknowledges and accepts his vulnerabilities that regardless we are all only human with our own limitations 💕 and what I love about this is that regardless of religion we all can relate to this song because we all felt lost or that need for guidance and help at some point in our lives, really beautiful and uplifting 💖

To be honest, you kind of chopped the intro up completely - no wonder you couldn't feel it?! I get that you were confused and MJ's creativity demands a bit more openess of the listener, than most artists'. But now when you got the feel from the song, got the message, go back and listen again. It really goes well hand-in-hand and is quite self-explanatory, I promise you. (It's all for L.O.V.E.) @e.s.7272 already wrote about the message of the Beethoven 9th symphony in an excellent comment below, so no point in me doing it again. That piece has both grandeur, celebration and sensitivity; then add the tentativeness of the notes leading into the main part of the song...the wonder, hope, doubt and plead of a single person, understanding we could all live in oneness and bliss but not knowing how to shoulder it... It is a spiritual song. God, a spirit guide, oneness, what it will take for people to unite. MJ had already left Jehovas a few years ago, here. I don't know if they had started to study with Deepak Chopra yet, but they did during the early 90s. It is also a brave song, about the braveness of stripping oneself down completely and ask someone else for help, for closeness, to be loved and seen and to get to trust someone entirely. Asking God is one thing, but if we are trying for it here on Earth, we must ask eachother (or God in every person). I dare you. It's a quite chilling exercise, to try and sincerely read out this lyric to someone close...or in lack of that, while thinking of someone you used to have close, as if you were reading to them. To -with the genuinity and longing of the song - really ask them: Would you hold me like the river Jordan? - I am your friend. - Would you carry me like you were my brother and love me like a mother would? Will you be there? Even when it's weary? Will you keep on holding me? When I'm wrong will you scold me? Would you find me when I get lost? Also when I'm not perfect, when I'm not enough, when I do my best but am faulty? In my anger and frustration? When I'm hurting? Although I'm confused and can't find any right choices by those showed onto me...will you be there for me and care enough to bear me? Would you love me? Feed me? Kiss me? Free me? Heal me and bathe me? and so on. It's a brave, brave ask, in a brave, brave song; encouraging people to completely drop their shields and open up for true communitty, in a very concrete way. Michael Jackson dedicated this song to their fans. In the end, they were asking us. And leading us by doing so.

Omgggg finallyyy!!! This is definitely my favorite one from the album!! If not my favorite of his period 😍😍 I guess it is a prayer but for some reason whenever I listen to this song I can't help but think that it's like Michael's inner child speaking, like that lonely little boy just wanting to be held and cared for, craving for the love that he never got from his father and it hurts my heart 💔💔😭 especially because in the 2000s on a private tape which hopefully you'll react to (poor Michael couldn't even talk without being secretely recorded but it's a great insight to who he truly was), he confessed that he only continued wanting to be great as an artist and more successful because all he ever wanted was love, he just "wanted people to truly love him because he never really felt loved", that he was hoping he could change his father and make him love him and accept him, and get love from other people, makes me wish I could protect him, his father was so cruel and cold 😢😢 maybe it's just me, but anyway I'm so happy that you liked this song, it's truly beautiful but sooo emotional ❤❤😢

My favorite song on the album ❤❤❤ it just touches my heart and soul deeply, whenever I listen to it it almostt feels like I go to a completely different place, that's the definition of spiritual, I love how vulnerable he is; very soulful, I think the beginning was just to set a mood or add to the atmosphere of the song; nothing more than that, I understand it's a little different but I think it's beautiful and really goes well with the song actually, you should listen to it again, maybe you will appreciate it more, sometimes it doesn't have to make sense, you just need to feel it ☺️

I think the intro kind of speaks for itself, it’s starts out very soft, you know it’s going to be something more serious and real. But I think this song helps the listener get into the spiritual side of the albums, we had so many dance tracks on the Album and when this comes on, it’s a different kind of beauty.

There’s no way this was the first time you’d heard this but I loved watching you react to it nonetheless. Michael was/ is the greatest x

Hi Seph, at the beginning, the Cleveland Orchestra and the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus play a portion from Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. The segment is from the fourth movement and is a lesser known portion of the famous "Ode to Joy". The German lyrics were written by the German poet Friedrich Schiller. It was a celebratory poem addressing the unity of all mankind. 'It is an appeal, a longing for brotherhood, for joy and jubilation, for the utopia of world peace, for a world without wars and destruction.' This classical introduction is followed by the Andrae Crouch Singers. It is the same choir as in "Man In The Mirror".

Great reaction. WYBT is one of my favourite songs. Could you please react to the actual official video (which was released on Dangerous - The Short Films) from FMJLEGACYVEVO? It's very similar to the other video from the MJ YT channel. But I like this more because it shows Michael's fans and the other one movie scenes from Free Willy, which the song was the soundtrack of.

I respect all religions, I do. But I, myself have no religion. However this song still has a strong meaning to me. No matter who you are, what religion you have, what color skin you have. We are all human, and are united.. although certain people do make it hard to accomplish this. We should help eachother rather than push eachother away.

That piano is something special in this piece. If you want a special version of this listen to Will you be there immortal version. I hate remixes for the most part but Michael Jackson The Immortal mixes are superb. Reason is they kept it simple, only accenting certain things keeping the essence of it all. Not taking away. Almost as if they imagined if Michael edited for the stage etc. Love the will you be their immortal version

I can answer this for you, Seph. This choir in particular is known as the Andrae Crouch Choir. The main genres of music the choir is recognized in are Gospel and Contemporary Christian. The choir has been featured on a handful of Michael's songs including this one. The choir can also be heard on "Man In The Mirror", "Keep The Faith", "Earth Song", "Morphine", and "Cry". Out of all of these songs, I've always felt that it wasn't really necessary for them to be on "Morphine". That's just my opinion and any is welcome to disagree with that. The choir sounds great on all of the others. Everyone has their own preferred favorite songs by Michael. I'm no different. If I had a Top 5 list of favorite songs by Michael, "Will You Be There" would stand at #1.

The prelude is so magical. I'm not sure why you're hating on it so strongly. Beethoven was an amazing composer. (Probably the best there ever was - as he was partly deaf). BTW, the choir at the beginning is singing in GERMAN - Beethoven's language.
