I love your junk journal ideas !! I bought a junk journal to decorate and am collecting ideas on how to decorate the outside before I begin the inside of my journal. What is the tool you use with the distress ink pad to give your pages and little rid bits that vintage look ? Where can I buy the ink and the ink brush or wheel you use ? I have so many things to start my journal yet I find it hard to even begin with my husband who had a stroke a few years ago. I’m his full time care giver. I’m looking forward to escaping into the wonderful world of junk journaling and creativity. Thank U for being an inspiration to me.

Hello, we got these a long time ago. They are called "flourish chipboard die cuts". If you type them into Etsy there should be a whole bunch of different ones that come up you can choose your favorites from. :)

How long did this take for you to finish each page? Did you plan ahead of time to complete a page?

Hello, the entire journal took me about 2 weeks, but it takes me a little longer to do things because I have to film what I'm doing and try to think ahead. Usually I just sit down and open the journal to a page, and take a look at the pieces I have laid out from my kit and see what inspires me. I often lay pieces out on a page before gluing them down, so I know what I do and do not like. Sometimes I will also make a list of things I want to put in the journal (flip, foldout, button page, lace pocket, bookmark, specimen page, etc. ) and that makes my workflow a little faster. Each page only takes 5-10 minutes to decorate, but coming up with what I want to put on a page is usually the time consuming bit. :) Hope this helps!

Your journals are always so pretty and full of various bits and pieces... and I love the look of each one even if I've never managed to make one myself. Journals, yes. Fancily decorated, no. I don't know why. You also seem to have a lot of fun making each one and I have begun to think I need to decorate a journal with such detail so I can have that fun too... and have a special journal on the shelf to look at that doesn't have anything actually personal in it. One thing though... I can't help wondering what you do with those journals once you finish decorating them. Do you keep them on a shelf to take down now and then and flip through? Do you use them... perhaps writing on the various journaling areas? Perhaps you sell them at craft shows? Or are they made and then not looked at again once the video is out? I'm really very intrigued... if you don't mind sharing, of course.
