Jackie Pettyjohn has worked as a train engineer on the night shift for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) for more than 30 years. After responding to a job listing in the Philadelphia Inquirer in 1984,, Jackie then became the first female engineer.
