Hi folks!!! I'm Tosh and in this video, I embark on a solo adventure, hiking Algonquin Park's Highland Trail. Join me as I explore the rugged wilderness, camp overnight, and encounter unexpected challenges and wildlife.
I'll take you through the beauty of the trail, setting up camp in the heart of nature, and the comforting crackle of a campfire beneath the starry night sky. You'll also witness an unfortunate mishap where I accidentally slip and break my camera, capturing my genuine response to the situation.
But it's not all misadventures; you'll be mesmerized by the captivating wildlife and the beauty of the natural environment I encountered along the way.
Sit back, relax, and immerse yourself in the beauty and unpredictability of Algonquin Park. Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe for more exciting outdoor adventures!

I did this trail with my dad in the late 80's. We went clockwise, which gave me the chance to shorten or three days to the smaller loop. It was a great idea. We had a cow moose go through and we were certain that a black bear blocked our path, until we figured out that it was a tree stump next to the deeply shaded path. Thanks for bringing us such joy.

I seen a lot of canoeing trips in Algonquin but not as many hiking trips. I really enjoyed this videos and the trails looked nice. I feel like a trip there has to be on my bucket list and a hike might be a good way to ease into it, especially outside of bug season!

That’s a good place to start. There are many great trails in Algonquin and early spring or fall is an awesome time to be out there.

Tosh, I’ve seen several KZfaqrs who either own a specialized trekking pole that has a camera mount already on it or, they have modified a regular trekking pole to mount their camera on. I understand the numerous benefits to having your camera on an actual tripod. I was just offering up an alternative/additional solution. Since your fall, I think your camera is now identifying as a GoPro. That would explain the focusing issues 😆 PS. I love the boot prints on the map 👍🏻
@toshselfpropelled
@toshselfpropelled 9 ай бұрын
I’ve been looking at doing that with the trekking pole. It would definitely simplify things.

The music in the beginning was fantabulous!!! But all the music in this video was great. Also, loved the foot prints marking your path. Now for the important part....how far south are you going? Sorry for your fall but at least you weren't hurt.

Nice laid-back video Tosh, you're definitely not in shape lot of huffing and puffing pity about your camera hope it isn't too expensive to get fixed. Love the, calm lakes and beautiful red foliage, I half expected to see a Bigfoot or the mystery wolf.
