When I was 18 were we lived at the time our septic tank needed pumping an the guy was in his 60's that showed up with no help and was having trouble moving around so I helped him an he walked me through it, the smell didn't bother me. I enjoyed learning an helping that man that is no longer here

Another fine job!! I like the way you explain things to your customers so they know how the system works, what not to put in the tank, and advice about root control. When my tank was pumped a little over a week ago, there were a couple of small mats of roots that were vacuumed up. When I was digging up the covers, i was cutting through small roots that smelled like wintergreen from the yellow birch trees that grow nearby. I will most likely get some of that Root Kill like you suggested.

I got one for you Dominic work on a airplanes with the labs on a 767 they have a vacuum system for the toilets and it flushes very little water but all those all your waste goes into two 60 gallon tanks and when time to when your time to empty them they stink really bad of urine. I had one dump on me because the hose didn't hook up correctly and it got all over the front of me. Love it when they poop bottles cans and other things down the toilet and you got to fight the toilet to get it to flush or to dump.

If sewage creates a gas that will actually destroy the top of the tank and lid......why do they make and install tanks that cannot deal with what there supposed to hold???

I lucked out. Just bought a home with a septic that hadn’t been pumped in 25+ years. Was expecting it to be terrible, ended up being in great condition, they couldn’t even tell it hadn’t been serviced regularly. They scammed me out of my money though. 1k for two 750 gallon concrete tanks. No digging, just popping the lids off and pumping (less than 30 minutes from arriving) to leaving). That’s on me though because I didn’t get a price before I scheduled it. Everywhere else I’ve lived in the past it’s been between 250-400 for the same size, some with digging.

Is it not a bit of a design flaw burying the lids so far below ground? If it were at surface level then the owner might remember to get it cleared out more regularly. Good for you recommending risers!

I have lived here for 31 years, the septic tank has never been touched only the toilet water goes into it (no soap, detergents, bleach, etc no other wastewater goes to it) only the contents of the toilet and I also use RidX monthly. Is it possible that some tanks are just setup or designed better and the ecosystem within just works as intended?

How old is a system that has like a 4ft diameter round concrete lid? It has a 12"x12" square acess cover in the middle The entire tank is round.

I got a 1980s tank. How many liters that I want to have? The city is telling me that they only think that they have one lid. The lid is round 24 in the first one I located. Do I have two or one they're saying is 1,000 tangk gallon tank?

what i learned working for a plumber always keep your mouth shut.... good advice spash backs are the worst eye protection and face sheilds long gloves tetnis shot hep shot.. still woulndt do it again eww and no thanks
