Necrotic Nick- I think this is overall is one of Andreas' finest moments. He really shows off his songwriting skill and guitar chops on here. Derrick stepped up as well. He really showed a lot more range on this and Machine Messiah.

Necrotic Nick- Next to Midnight's new one, this is definitely one of the best so far this year.

@@carlosmarques3714 Lots of people love the album. I"ve never been a Sepultura fan, and after 4-5 listens I still like every other noteworthy thrash releases more than Quadra. But hey, that means we have lots of quality material so far this year. \M/

Necrotic Nick- It is still early, but at this point it's definitely somewhere on my year end list for sure.

Necrotic Nick- I like that this contains nods to previous albums like Arise and Chaos A.D. but this is 100% an inspired new album. These guys are on a roll now.

Necrotic Nick- It's definitely up there though I'm not sure if it's better or not as good as Machine Messiah which was a hell of a comeback album for me.

Necrotic Nick- That's a tough one honestly but I'd be up there.

Necrotic Nick- I own it actually and I agree for the most part. I think Sepultura is still somewhat in a box in terms of there's always elements in their sound that'll be there. With the solo stuff he's free to experiment and push himself in whatever direction he wants because it's not Sepultura. I loved Hubris 1 & 2 and I think that was definitely a catalyst for more experimentation in Sepultura.

Necrotic Nick- Loved Machine Messiah. I think it's one of their best albums honestly.

Necrotic Nick- I can see that. The atmospheric can blend together. I think the brutal death section on Necro Alchemy was an interesting twist and there are some solid riffs on this one.

@@thrallsofmetal To me Andreas is a way better lead Guitarist compared to a mediocre songwriter, I'm not knocking his playing per se but his songwriting he'll lose me more times than i like. It all sounds to same to me Machine Messiah sounds like it carried over to Cuadra along with the past records, my biggest thing with Andreas is that his songs are all over the place seems to me like Eloy *has* to play like he does to compliment the erratic riffing Andreas presents it's all over the place, no structure just a wall of drums, guitar, with Green singing over them it's bad enough on the slower melodic breakdowns they lull me to sleep it sounds the same, i don't know man i tried for decades to get into them after the Cavalera's left i just can't Andreas has that Jeff Waters writers block he can't shift over and is locked into one formula.

Necrotic Nick- Sorry, I thought this was a reply to our latest video for Tombs. My bad. I really enjoyed Andreas' writing on this and Machine Messiah as well. From what I gather, he and Eloy work closely together in terms of the writing and I think Andreas builds around Eloy's drum work or at least that was the impression that I got. They're also pulling a lot of influences from all over on these last few and even bringing in prog elements which can give it that "all over the place" sound.

Necrotic Nick- I'm glad I watched the studio videos they were posting because the ideas behind the album and what it was going to sound like were talked about. They wanted to cover a lot of the phases of the band's existence including the earlier thrash material. There are solid thrash moments on here but Isolation is probably the only straight up thrash song on here.
