Think i am sold on this. My TS100 screen went dimm common issue it seems. Was looking at the pine64 pinecil because of same TS100 tips and DC barrel and USB-C. But this accepts what i would call more pro tips so bigger selection of tips. I can use all the TS100 tips i bourght and over time buy the t12 instead. I know one tends to use a couple of specific tips but still ~29 t12 vs the 10-11 different ones for the TS100.

How does it compare to a ts100? You get the same barrel, plus USB option, and 2 options for tips. My ts100 Heats to 400 in less than 10 seconds, but I'm also using 6S. 30 seconds seems slow, but that may just be the 4S supply.

Hello Can someone tell me why it shows firmware update when I put my other non origin 120w USB a to c cable in the soldering iron, is the a function that it goes to solder mode instead, with my origin cable it works normal,but I would like to have other options on cables beside the original. 🤔

@@MadRC Would have to strap an infrared thermometer on the blow lamp and control temperature via manual PWM by hand. Hmm I think we are on to something.

"It is lead free, but that is pretty much everything you are going to find today"? Um... no? You can buy leaded solder anywhere! lead free solder has absolutely ZERO place being used in electronics. I know manufacturers BUILD stuff with lead free solder so they can claim zero lead for paperwork, but 100% don't use that to make things at home unless you are going to be using it for water pipes or something you are going to touch all day everyday and consume. The shear amount of extra heat required for unleaded solder will destroy most contacts on a board unless you are a perfect robot.
