Um. This isn't a fandub of the song. This is from the sailor moon musicals and this dance has always been used for this song in the musicals. Even the first stage cast which included Moonlips (who sang this for the 3rd and 4th seasons of the anime) had this same dance for it.

Stage costumes are supposed to be a bit flashy. Makes it much easier to spot your favorite senshi and such. Besides, I think they look cool. x]

Actually, I just think it's part of the coustum. If you look closely, the long line-type thing under her arm is a purple, glittery stripe. The pattern is on the whole leotard. Also, under the "tear" under the sleeve is the way her sleeves looked in her firs appearance in Episode 90 of the anime.

as for the tear in sailors saterns costume. it is not a tear. that is how it is made. at 0:43 they are really kawaii and sugoi. i watched most of these and they are rally great. they have there own rendishion of the series and it looks really great. =^..*=
