50 years ago, a small college choir that I was in performed this song. I had no previous knowledge of Latin, so it was an interesting experience. Thanks for a beautiful performance and for bringing back good memories.

One of the good things about learning Latin at school! It is a lovely language for singing. Have sung many different items in Latin over a long choral and a capella singing career.

Fun fact: Hans Zimmer used this piece as a blueprint for a section of his score to *THE LION KING* (1994) -- namely, the aftermath of the stampede, where Simba finds and tries to revive Mufasa.

I hadn’t seen the remake of Lion King so just looked up the soundtrack. Ave Verum is definitely in there, beautifully mixed in as well. I’ve always been a fan of Hans Zimmers work, even more so now!

Yes, I know, this was done in 2021.... So beautifully sung !!! I could hear the 4 parts so clearly, and everyone sang just perfectly !!!! Thank you so much for this !!!! Only thing I would add is that the pace is just a little too slow for me.... :) You ALL have given me and the rest of the world an awesome respite from the utter craziness going on out here in parts of the world in July, 2023 !!! I wanted to listen to this piece, but I'm learning the massive cathedral recordings aren't always the best renditions-I scrolled until I found what spoke to me. This is pristine and perfect. Also, Elena is stunning

What a work of art is this wonderful piece by Mozart! What I find interesting is that literally no choir begins ‘sotto voce’ as written by the master.

I've heard Bernstein, now have heard your small group. Just as good! I expected the usual difficulty when the suprano voices fall apart at the " In Cru" Wow you suprano voices are so good, and right on like I have never heard. All voices were to what I consider perfect. The accompaniment was a perfect fit. Does it show that I am amazed?

Lovely to hear all the voices Clear, Balanced, Warmly Expressive, and with Beautiful Sound. With other choirs, we have to endure muddy textures and harsh shrieking amateur sopranos!

Ein sehr dichter Klang und an sich richtig toll, aber für meine Begriffe an manchen Stellen fast zu langsam - trotzdem rutscht es nicht ins Kitschige ab, das ist sehr gut gestaltet. Aber noch viel wichtiger: warum wurde es nicht in einer Kirche aufgeführt, wo es hingehört? Dann wäre es noch authentischer, es ist ein Gebet! Und leider finde ich die lila Haare der Musikerin absolut fehl am Platz! Wie viele Leute wissen auch nicht mehr, wie man sich in der Kirche oder bei solchen Stücken angemessen verhält oder anzieht? Die Leute kommen ja schon im Jogginganzug in den Gottesdienst!
