thanks have been having problems with mines for awhile amd pc in live just stops and stutters at times ill try these tweaks and get back w ya you just got a sub for the rare instructions many if any dont expalin

Ive been a scratchlive user til this month i bought a ddj 1000srt .So i had to learn the new Serato DJ/Video. I've been using MixEmergency (I think its 1.2) for years.. so yea LOl time to move on.. But I will stick with Serato DJ video.. Just hate buying new software when i have it in serato combined.. Great Video Thank you!

Hi so for the buffer size. When I move it to the left is that for a faster response. And when I move it to the right is that for a slower response. Or in which direction is it for less performance and which way is for more performance.

Thanks for video...when I transition to the right side, the video don't show, I got to hit the double button and move the cross fader to the left foe video to show. What am I doing wrong? Thx

We'll definitely consider a PC tutorial if we get our hands on PC with Serato. Hopefully some of the ideas presented on the Mac version can translate to the PC as well but we'll definitely take your comment into consideration!

Rob, The ideas presented on the Mac version translate to Windows. Just keep an eye on your particular system's capability, since your system hardware could perform better or worse than DocOptic's. It's all about trial and error. This is a great tutorial!

Hi, I can't get my videos to load at all on serato video. I tried all the trouble shooting options support has told me. I have mp4 files, I can load the music, but the vidoes (karaoke) don't play. I try and drag them to the black box and nothing happens. any idea what i'm missing?

My Serato video is not moving at times, then kicks in, or if I switch sides with that same video, sometimes it'll play. What do you think this is? I have a 2015 15" i7 Macbook pro 2.2 ghz 16gb RAM

I JUST STARTED USING SERATO VIDEO AND HAD A QUESTION WAS WONDERING WHY THE VIDEOS GLITCH OR SKIP. I NOTICED THAT THE LINE UNDER THE TIME IN SERATO IS FULL WHEN I PLAY THE VIDEOS, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN.

Great video. I have an older macbook pro 17 mid 2009. 8gb ram 512 g on video card and 2.8 intel duo core. SV running a little choppy and not smooth, especially on transtions. Any suggestions on which 15 inch macbook pro to get that will run everything smoothly and not break the bank! Thanks

Great video... i have a question.... when i plug my serato SL4 box and open Serato DJ and load a video track in to Deck A it loads fine and play without any issue. but when i load Deck B and play the track it will not come on the screen nomatter what i do... fader is already up. please help me get the proper settings done.

so wait, I did all of this and my video runs at 5-8 fps? is there a way to fix this on my computer? I've been playing around with the settings for days and it doesn't seem to play at a good frame rate. also I should mention that the video files from iTunes (music videos) run really smoothly but the ones I input run really bad?

How do you exit full screen my serato video is stuck on full screen and I can exit even if I restart my laptop and reopen the app it go into full screen.

when im playing a video and change to only music and then i go back to video , it doesnt show nathing the screen is black so, i have to close the program and open again to play videos..is ther other way???

Question.....how do I get the videos to appear on my computer so that I can see all the videos on the 3 displays in serato (right, middle, left). I'm able to view the video and graphics on the external display/monitor but for some reason they are not displaying in the 3 boxes on my actual monitor. To add when I type a text, the text does not appear either, however. Please help. Thanks!

This solution helped me... Mac 1) Close all programs. 2) Open Finder and go to the User > Library > Preferences folder. 3) Rename the com.serato.seratovideo.plist file (e.g. to old_com.serato.seratovideo.plist). Note: On Mac OS X 10.7 and higher, the User Library is hidden. To access this you will have to hold down the option key and click on "Go" on the Finder toolbar and the Library option will appear in the drop down menu. You will also need to remove the com.serato.seratovideo.plist.lockfile. 4) If using Mac OS X 10.9 or higher, please complete the further steps below; Open Applications --> Utilities --> Activity Monitor Under the "CPU" or "MEMORY" tabs, locate and force quit all cfprefsd processes

Great videos! Question for you... What happens when you use the slicer, and roll functions on your controller? Does this effect the video at all? Seems like it would have to, in order to keep the timing matched between audio and video. Just curious as to how that would look. Thanks in advance!

Jeremy Thompson Yes, the videos playback according to whatever functions you use, so if you're using slicer and roll the video will play back with the same timing according to your track. :)

Hello, i was wondering, is there a way i can configure serato to play a specifically video every time i play a track? in other words, is there a way to associate a video to play automatically when the x track is played, every track having a preseted video? thanks in advance!

ive been trying to run serato video on this video card on my macbook pro. Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB. What can I do to improve things. Serato Video has been glitching.

Hey there, sorry haven't had experience with that graphics card. Have you tried lowering the graphics quality or running clips less than 720p? 384MB is not much to be driving Serato Video and could be causing problems, however I could be wrong. Also check out the Serato forums, there are other users on there with similar setups that might be able to help.

that video card is integrated. I don't think it has the power to run serato video properly
