man this is crazy, never thought this would be possible

I wasn’t overly excited about this feature but I have to admit I had fun creating some interesting routines in practice today. I was surprised at how well this worked. Not every song has a clean isolated acapella/melody etc but pleasantly surprised with some of the tracks I tried today. Glad I watched this video first before experimenting. I have to say it’s been well designed from a UI perspective.

Very smooth and clean implementation of this from a UI perspective. I'm sure this technology will continue to improve with time too. Awesome update!

Is there a shortcut to reset all stem elements instead of having to press all 4 buttons simultaneously?

my question is probably isolated for use with DJ808. I have the stem feature on the SAMPLER pads. Is there any way to change the FX assigned to each stem? Like could I echo out the Melody stem but keep the Vocal, Bass and Drums still playing? As it is now when the Echo Melody pad is pressed the Bass and Drums also echo out and stay off. Hope I explained it ok lol TIA

So you can use any song, correct? You don't need to download stem specific versions of tracks? Analyze any tracks and you're good to go?

Can you help me understand all that stuff about stem files at the end? I don’t get it. When I load a track, stems will be playable, so what is this stems analysis you mention? What is the stems crate for? I’m confused 😅

I did the recent update. Does anyone know why the acapella volume goes up when I hit stems? Then when I take it off, it’ll sound distorted, and finally then song will come back to normal…

Is there a way to isolate stems in Stem Mode (ie. solo the vocal) rather than having to mute all the other stems? Seems like the only way to do this is if your hardware has a parameter button, which mine (Pioneer XDJ-XZ) doesn't. Feels like there should be a button mapped to this since it's just one click in the virtual deck...

Tried stem with lite version of Serato and now I'm blocked out of my account.

There is a bug in my Serato. Unless I mute one of my STEMS the sound of the song sounds poor quality.

Hi, thanks for the Video...couple of downsides guys: Automation is not intuitive, it should be able to record and capture changes in plugins, such as cutoff movement, resonance, macros, etc in real time to be recorded. Automating them later is a nightmare (try Avenger Synth w/ hundreds of parameters...good luck). The audio algorithm is mediocre, because if you put a Loop and synchronize it with the speed of the project, the audio is heard as 'under the water', but if you don't change the time of the project, then the audio is perfect. It has 8 recording times (measures) per pattern, very little, it should have the option of at least 64 to be able to record long and more complex introductions, at least give us that options in settings. The Limiter and EQ and compression sound excellent, but do NOT have access to the individual parameters ....seriously Serato programmers ? year 2023 ?

I’ve been trying this for the pass 3 days and it’s not working the way you explained. After going into DJ preferences, and selecting “replace pad-mode with stems.” I loaded multiple tracks, and the only thing that happens is, either the entire track will go silent, the instrumental will play and mute out the vocals every time the vocals are supposed to come in, or none of the track will play at all

Nothing new here folks.This was used many years ago in Virtual Dj 4-5.
