Thanks so much bro. you answered my question and i've been looking for a while now. Just copy/repace the SCRATCHLIVE and SCRATCHLIVEBACKUP folders to your "MY MUSIC" folder. That's where Serato looks for the crates & subcrates. You're the man!!!

main reason i need to do all this is because i have all my music on my external but im going to upgrade my mac with a 500gb harddrive. i am going to copy everything on this hard drive to the new 1 and then do what you do in your video. will this work? Your help is much appreciated

Hey Todd, I'm trying to transfer my music & crates from on Mac to another Mac using an external hard drive. I followed your video which was a good demo but,I still must have not did something. My question is..I preloaded my new Mac with the music first then follow your moving demo...should have done that? Did that make the difference in it working? And do I need to have my crates already made on the new Mac so the music drops in them or when I'm transferring everything over they will come over? :(

for some reason this did not work for my serato an my mbp it says none of my files are missing and it doesnt show my crates bummer

***** thank you for posting. i have a question.... how can i do the same thing you did above but with 2 internal hard drives? i have 1.5tb of music sitting in my 2tb harddrive. I do not want to use my 2tb external hd anymore, so i would like to transfer my whole 1.5tb of music into (2) seperate 1TB hard drives (750 + 750)... how can this be done so serato can read my library and crates without a glich.... tTHANK YOU IN ADVANCE. P.S. To make a long story short...i want to transfer my entire library from my 2tb external hard drive into (2) seperate Iinternal 1TB HARD DRIVES. i use mac 10.9

Can I copy everything from my _serato_backup folder to my internal backup folder as well? I don't have anything on my mac I'm transferring from my external to my mac

Ok I am trying to trans my creates to my new make. I followed what you said and it worked for the most part.. The songs trans but to the creates. Any Ideas as to why?

Do I need to copy the _SeratoBackup_ folder also or no?

good info but wanted to make sure. This should work the same when going from pc to mac and vice versus right? Cuz Im trading libraries with a friend and we both dont wanna re sort everything. Just dont copy the v2 file on both ends right? THX

Mac To Mac ST,ur transfer files & crates from PC to the MACbook worked well in 09' using SL 1.9..Just got a MAC Pro,attempting to move evrythg from the old white MAC to the Pro,nothing is working,gone thru (3) ext,even tho they r NTFS,they still transfer btwn MACs,75% of my music transferred but the rest remain pink with diff file paths.Deleted evrythg off the MAC Pro,deleted evrythg off the Lacie ext,can't copy SL & music files,keep getting msg,file name already exists.Plz post Mac to Pro vid.

how did you get the temperature and rpm speed on the top bar?

I am having a problem finding the location on my MacBook 09. Internal > External Crate Transfer. Was I supposed to right click 'Get Info' then it shows the /Volume/ etc. etc. Getting pretty lost since now the serato file shows as _Serato_ Could you possibly make another Tutorial with only using Mac? Sorry I couldn't comment on that section of the video since it's blocked.

I noticed that when you finished and loaded the tracks that the waveforms did not load up instantly. Does this mean you have to re anaylize every track again?

ok i see. Next thing is that i dont have a music file in my mac. i did a search for _scrachlive_ but i dont have this but i did find _serato_ on my computer so is this the folder i need. it looked like it had the same things in as your folder (_scrachlive_).
