I spent 33 years driving for Meals on Wheels, and I so understand how this guy felt. I had had everything from Dogs to cats hop in my truck when I wasn't looking. I even had a Horse stick its head inside looking for a roll. You know your doing something right when even the animals are looking forward to see you.

The dog I have now loved our UPS driver! He always left two small size milk bones on any package he delivered to out house! We’d be walking through the neighborhood and my dog would hear his truck and get excited! ( believe it our not our dog is not very treat motivated) I think he just loved him! He was our driver until he retired. For awhile after he retired I had to keep telling him that’s not Kenny ❤️ we appreciate all of you drivers! 💕❤️

I had a huge black lab when I was a kid that loved to hitch rides. He got delivered at least once be the postman, the milk delivery truck, and the ice cream truck. His favorite was the school bus. He would get in at the end of the street and the bus driver would go around the block and then stop into front of my house to let him out. 😁

I had a Husky that a garbage man use to give treats to. We had an alley that was dead-ended so the trash truck would back up the alley. She would hear that truck and go crazy to get in the yard. After he put our can back over the fence, he would pet her and give her a couple treats. When she died I went out and told the man that she had died and he cried. He said he felt a bond with her because she was always so excited to see him. That was her second favorite truck, but she could hear the Mr. Softee jingle a mile away and would go crazy to get outside for her nightly ice cream cone.

I have 2 German Shepherds and they love the UPS and FedEx drivers. Even when Ups has no packages for me the truck goes by and cookies fly out the door for the dogs.

Being an elderly dog owner, I am much relieved and grateful that dogs have the capacity to bond with more than one human. I don't want to spend my last years without a dog. Neither do I want to leave a dog of mine homeless and alone. It is a comfort knowing that my current dog is already spoken for should I die first. Years ago, I had a shepherd-husky who lived to a ripe old age. He thought the entire neighborhood was his home. He would often turn up the neighbor's front walks when we were on our daily stroll. He liked to visit people and many gave him treats. He even liked to visit the neighborhood dogs. They would come to share a wag and a sniff through the fencing if they were out in their yards.

Thank You I needed to hear a good story on a day as this. Wines of war!

Awww my cat jumped in the ups driver's truck..he liked boxes he just wandered up in between his feet he was a big cat..that guy was so scared of him..but he was screaming get him out!..and my kitten ok so he wasn't a kitten anymore..but he brought my baby back..and that cat really loved boxes..who knew I think it was the shorts lol..

From his routine of delivering packages to caring for a dog was something different that came into his life path. He took the opportunity to feed him treats which just happened spontaneously. A story begins....

I Love Golden Retrievers ❤🐕

My husband delivered for FedEx Express for 31 years and had lots of dog friends along his various routes. He carried dog treats with him all the time. Some dogs would jump in his van knowing where my husband, Fred -- his customers dubbed him "FredEx"--kept the goodies. He always looked forward to the visits from the dogs, but never had a stow-away.

I am an exterminator and have lots of customers that have dogs. I carry treats for them, I always ask the owners if it is ok to give their dogs treats. I even have a couple of dogs that live next door to my customers that I give treats to. If the dogs are in the house when I come to service the house, they bard like crazy. My customers think, the bugman must be hear and they let their dogs out to see me so they can get their treats. One of my customers gave me a shirt that said Dogfather!

Our golden retriever loved our UPS driver and he loved her. She knew when he was coming and would wait at the end of the driveway for him. He would give her a treat and play with her a little then go on about his day. This brought back some very good memories of those two.

When my golden was a puppy, she used to walk with our mail carrier & he’d bring her back when he finished delivering on our block. Now I see this is normal behavior for goldens🤣🤣🤣

When I was a little girl I had an English Cocker Spaniel... Lady.. She used to walk to school with my brothers and I and then walk the 12 blocks back with our Mail Man Mr. Francis. When Mr. Francis retired Lady was heart broken as she couldn't stand his replacement, who no his first round sprayedher with a dog repellant Evan thou we were sitting with her on the front porch and had a hold of her. We complained a d the post master knew of the friendship between our dog and Mr. Francis and put a different man on our route after that.

Beautiful story, but the casting is OTP. It is confusing to see multiple drivers and dogs playing the two characters. It would be nice to see one driver and one dog throughout the video. 🥰🥰🥰

That is so cool we had a mix breed that looked like a small Shepherd. And we had a great big muscle bound mail man that would not come in the yard one day until he asked if she was mean. Me and my wife couldnt help but laugh she was deaf and almost blind by this time and loved people any way. This guy got so embarrassed and ask us to not tell anyone he was afraid. Before he walked on he gave her a good pet and continued on to the next house. lol After that day when he seen her out he would say her name to not startle her pet her and continue on. He was a great guy

This happened to my dog and a Fed Ex driver. He would stop at my house when in our neighborhood with treats even if we didn't have a delivery for us.

My mailman once took a dog that was too big to live in my new apartment. We had left the dog at our old address and went to feed it each evening. The entire situation was breaking our hearts. We tried to find him a home, but no one wanted a dog that was WELL over 100 lbs and still a puppy!! We figured he had Great Dane in him somewhere. One day we stopped to feed him, and he was GONE. We were terrified he had been hurt. We stopped by a neighbor's house, and the neighbor said, the MAILMAN said the dog kept up pretty well with him for a mile or two so he opened the door and the dog crawled right inside with him. He knew we had moved and were OBVIOUSLY taking care of the dog each day, but he knew we must be having a hard time placing the big guy. So he told our neighbor he took the dog and that if we ever wanted him back, we were welcome to stop by and get him... We never did of course, because we knew the mailman must truly love the dog. There were stories all around with the neighbors in our old neighborhood about the dog that sat in the back seat of the mailman's Maverick with his front paws in the front seat and road with the mailman every day!! He had become a beloved pet. We were blessed. BACKGROUND: We were from the country and it was 40 years ago, so having a loose dog was common at that time. I would never have a dog loose like that today!! We also had neighbors who were keeping track of our pet. Long before we had to move, the mailman hollered to me one day. He said, "Hey, I need you to know your dog barks at me and I am afraid of it, so if you don't lock it up, I will start spraying it with a repellent. I said, "Oh, it is a nice dog, I guess she just suspects you of foul play because you stop by every house in the morning and never go in.... I took my Shepherd/Lab mix by the collar and said, come meet her, she is very sweet, and then she won't bother you anymore." He said, "Not that one. I have known her for years and I know she is a good girl! I am talking about that BIG ONE!" I laughed and looked confused and said, "You mean the puppy?" He said, "Puppy??" And I said, "Yes, this is Buford! He is about 3.5 months old. He is a very big puppy, but he loves people." The mailman got out of his car and petted both dogs. He said, "No, I will not worry about this dog anymore!" He took Buford home with him, when Buford was about 6 months old! I never felt luckier. My other pet was older, and I had neighbors fighting over who could take her home with them. She moved in with my high school boyfriend's family and was loved until the day she passed. No one really knew Buford as well as the mailman. I heard that Buford spent years riding daily with the mailman, and I don't think any dogs ever threatened him again. ;)

Being a supervisor there for several years I can't help but notice the circle of Honor patches some of the drivers are wearing. 25, 30 and even 50 years safe driving on the job. You'd be surprised how difficult that is to achieve in a major city rain or snow with over 200 stop a day. For decades. A package car driver is the hardest and most respected job at our company. Thank your UPS guy

Our dogs did the same thing to the mail lady. She would always give them treats and they would wait for her to deliver our mail and run out to meet her. Sometimes, they would actually get into her mail truck. Unfortunately, they would see any white van and assume they had treats also. So, the FedEx guy and also the UPS guy, who has a brown truck, had to give them treats. Ah, the adventures of a small neighborhood.
