The Williams sisters were poorly treated by people during their starting years, by the press, their fellow players, the crowd..the most notorious was in Indian Wells..no matter what, whether Venus decided not to play, it doesn't excuse anyone to treat people like that..so I have this leniency towards the Williams sisters when they show their tough side on court, as they've been through so much.

Sad you're gone from the court and I no longer have any interest in tennis because I fell in love with tennis only because of watching you and Venus play but I'm sooo happy to see you happy being a mom and loving your new life away from tennis. All the blessings to you Serena and thank you!
