I've not heard this song before and was so captivated by not only her vocals, but moreso how present she was in this song. the magic formula between singing a song..and expressing a story through song. I had to google to find it was a Selina Gomez track (loved), I then went to my rock solid @kellyclarksonshow to hear Kelly's interruption. (flawless as usual) ,...but this, this amazingly gifted human...I gotta say, blows both out of the water. From technique, interpretation, emotiveness...what an absolute pleasure to experience. I wish you well sweet girl, and I cant wait to see/hear/feel what you bring through this competition. Sweet Serenity indeed..Bravo young lady...Bravo

When she sings she tells a story and you can feel every emotion. I've heard this song many times before but never really listened or understand the lyrics till now and it's because of the way she sang it. GREAT JOB GIRL, keep doing your thing!

Wow! I was hooked from start to finish! Her and Zoe have really came and surprised the heck out of me! She was 1,000 % committed emotionally and so it was believable. Then on top of that she really sounded incredible. I thought this was pretty flawless, especially for 16! She’s a potential finalist!

I've kind of changed my mind on this one. This was beautifully done for any age. I'm reluctant to say that a 16 year old should win a show like this. I don't really know if she would benefit by it. If she could take it and make a career out of it from day one then maybe. I would rather see her finish school and get herself into a position where she can make a career decision. At 16 she is already driven by her music and career. She may already have HS resolved. She could easily graduate by 17. None the less, she has an interesting voice that is different from the rest. I think it is a voice well suited to her generation and I enjoy it too. I've looked at other performances of this song and I like hers the best. It seems to me they all do it with the same inflections. I would change that; I needed to lose you to love me versus, I needed to loose you,....to love ME. I needed to lose you,......to FIND ME. I needed to hate you,.....to LOVE ME. She needed all of these things to happen to find herself. Selena Gomez; I wonder how she came up with the lyrics:-)

Better than the original by Selena-better than the Kelly Clarkson version. Serenity has so much, passion, heart and conviction in her singing! And no one’s negative comments can take it away. Serenity can connect to a higher power when singing…this is a gift that the vast majority are just not born with. 💞💞💞 As John said…that intangible thing that you do and as Chance said such an angelic voice-they don’t even realize the magnitude of her gift.

One more thing, if I were Serenity, I would review what they plan to do with the camera. The opening of that song is so important. It should have opened up full face on her in spotlight then move out before she moves out. "You promised the world...and I fell for it." Everything else in this song depends on understanding those opening words. To hear words it is best to see them spoken as well. I learned that from Covid:-)
