So basically, NFS Undercover on 6th gen consoles, and on 7th gen consoles were two completely different games. Not only the graphics were better on PS2 (IMO), but the whole city, physics, driving, car models and the city itself was different than on PC/PS3. I think NFS UC on PS2 was highly modded NFS Carbon. It's because the main menu animations, driving, finishing the race HUD and all these little things are so similar to Carbon. PC version on the other hand was probably made from scratch. I wish we could play PS2 version on PC without any emulator :/

ahh... the good old days of the 6th gen NFS Undercover, i have fond memories of this game compared to when i played it on 7th gen, makes me feel nostalgic

The PS2 got more Need for Speed titles than any other console in its generation. If I were to rate them all things considered, it would have to be; 1. Most Wanted (2005) 2. Underground 2 (2004) 3. Carbon (2006) 4. Underground (2003) 5. Hot Pursuit 2 (2002) 6. ProStreet (2007) 7. Undercover (2008) The top three are from 2004, 2005 and 2006. These 3 years have been some of the best in gaming history. Try and recall some of your favourite PS2 games... chances are, they are from one of these 3 years !

I originally had the PS2 version and it mops the floor with the other platforms. I thoroughly enjoyed it on PS2. Is it possible that since this was the last NFS on PS2 EA decided to make it 10x better than it was on other platforms?

I have the PC version of this game, and even on max settings, it looks like complete and utter crap due to the colors of everything being drab as all hell. The colors in the PS2 version look so much more vibrant. Sure it might not be HD, but it looks like I'd be happier with this version of the game simply because it isn't eyecancer.

God I miss this game so much. This along with NFS Most Wanted where the racing games I was obsessed with. Seeing what they did with the Xbox 360, ps3, and pc versions, I never wanted this version more lmao. I remember id go back to the main menu to do the quick races at the start to upgrade my car so id be fast as hell at the start of the game. It may have very shitty graphics but its a childhood game and ill always love it no matter what. I wish they remastered this version and fixed the bugs.

I would guess the PS3 one just good at graphics, and the PS2 one is full of fun. Back then, it was the merging period of the gaming consoles. I'm the type of consider fun than graphics, so I guess the PS2 one is worth to own and play since this is the last NFS for PS2.

I actually miss this game so bad. I had a green lambo fully customised and have 200 million bounty from 100's of police chases. My profile got corrupted so i started over and got it all back then it corrupted again.

I seriously thought this is a poor version of Most Wanted.

yeah, i know, but when it comes to cars, graphics are really important ;) The game itself looks rather like Most Wanted add-on that the Undercover. Everything is different. But hell, that won't stop me from playing it someday

Don't care about what anyone thinks, i loved this game to the core, they ruined it for me in the PC and PS3 versions.

i stand corrected, it is very similar, the highways look alike and some elements from the cities are in different places (also the highway signs are recycled from underground 2)

I remember when I've played this game on my friend's PS2 back in the 2009, I thought this port looked like crap. Not absolute, but it felt like NFS Most Wanted graphics with Underground on lowest settings possible. Especially these cars. I highly stand for at least the look of those cars, but here? They looked like crap. Still, I guess this kind of impressive for PS2. At least it had very stable 50FPS (I live in the PAL region, DUH), so I guess it is more than playable. If you didn't care for looks. But to be honest, who would play THIS version when you got PS3 and PC? Maybe if you have PS2 only (I appreciate that, it was a cool console) and got crap PC, this game is more than good. Altrough this is my opinion that was archived since I've seen that game for the first time, altrough it kinda looks better over the time for that console and its limitations. See, respect grows higher over the time. ;-)

I have the PS2 version, and it doesn't suck at all. I know, the graphic is shit, the map is different than the pc version, but it's still good. And remember: playing game for the graphic is like watching porn for the story.
