Both musicians, Sergey won First Prize in the VIII International Jean Sibelius competition in Helsinki in 2000 and Narek Hakhnazaryan won the gold medal for cello at the 2011 International Tchaikovsky Competition. And the Pianist Lusine Khachatryan is his sister, She is a prizewinner in the International Piano Competition in “Città di Ostra”, “Città di Marsala”, in Italy (2003), and in the 2nd European Piano Competition in Normandy, Ouistreham and Le Havre, France (2009).
