@GR-Tco'03 Iniesta and Xavi are the greatest. But their role is to control the game, building up an attack, deciding where the ball to goes. Busquets has different role in the squad, he's and anchor, and Busquets is the best anchor in the past 10 years or so in my opinion

Yhep messi drops into a 10 position. Iniesta rakitic push up into no8s centrally and then 1 full back pushes forward to vacate messi's space wide. So it looks like a 4-1-2-3/3-1-3-3 or 3-1-2-3. Either way barca always emphasize on having 3 attackers and slotting midfielders into pockets of space centrally.

He is a very rare type of player if you don't pay close attention to Busquets during the match you won't notice anything he is like a shadow that keeps Barcalona together that's why he is so underrated because people don't pay attention to him but if you do pay attention you'll see how important he is for Barcalona, he is one of a kind I doubt we will see another player like him for a long time

This video really shows the true Busquets. My fav part starts at 7:00, his passes between the lines finding Messi. This part also shows the chemistry between both Messi and Busquets. They trust each other. Messi believes that Busquets will always find him in between those pack lines. While Busquets believes that no matter how hard and powerful his passes, Messi will always able to receive and control the ball calmly.

Barcelona style do not translate well into Fifa ratings. Xavi and Busquets are two prime examples to that. They got the technique and brain but they are genuinely lacking in all other areas like physicals etc. which is the only metric you see in Fifa. The real genius these players show on the pitch falls on to the players controlling them in the game. Decision making is the players job in the game, when on the pitch it falls on to the Busquets and Xavi

I’m a middle school kid who plays CB and I do have confidence in my defensive capabilities, but not at offensive capabilities. So I sometimes watch Messi, Iniesta and Xavi but their skills and plays are like from another world that I can’t copy. So instead I watch Busquets’ plays because his dribbling is not difficult to copy yet very affective on the field. I think he has a lot of skill, but his confidence, soccer IQ and decisions are what make him shine and I think he is very underrated.

To be honest kid you don't need to have the dribbling skills of Messi, Iniesta or Xavi cause to a lot of these players it comes naturally to them and the best advice I can give you to improve your football skills is just master the simple things and if you do that then you have a chance of playing at least for your national team and well the chance of playing at a big club depends on where you live and luck.

agree with u kids..Im play as dmf..xavi, iniesta, pirlo is in my list..but i like to play like busquet style..we need to play 90mins on the pitch, so save your stamina as busquet does..no need to beat the opponent unless u have to..save ur stamina and u will be strong on the pitch..

There are many Defensive Mids who can tackle and pass well but I think what separates Sergio from everyone else is his insane spacial awareness, his underrated first touch and his crazy escape moves. Thats why he is the best at receiving the ball under pressure especially when his back is facing the opponent, absolute class.

I’m a Madrid fan and that sometimes clouds the judgement about a barcelona player, I used to think of him as a sort of theatrical player, pretending he was dying when the opposition was just tapping his back. But kids should learn from him, the way he positions himself on the pitch, the way he anticipates how the opposition will behave and based on that the way he moves, and best of all his vision and simplicity. He is unfortunately a dying breed of player, he’s the sort of player who makes the strikers shine alike the rest of the team.

Greatest defensive midfielder of all time, and for me, it's not even close. The guy is not even 30 and has achieved everything. He's been the link between defense and attack in Barca and spains golden generation. Messi is the GOAT but without busi, barca can't play the barca way. Feel free to argue a better CDM in history.

This guy made me in love with football. His way of playing the game he loves the most really touches my feelings. Me myself i was analyzing the way he played as an 8 year old boy. My dream was to become like Busquets, but it doesn’t seems like it now 😅. Either way, he plays the most beautiful football you could ever see. If I ever had a dream, it was to meet Sergio Busquets. He is my favorite football player and he is always going to be it.

All I want is just talk about these type of players with my friends. But they just dont understand. These are the players who play real football, how football should be played. Without them all the superstars are nothing. When I was 8 I was always called the busquets of my team by my trainer. But when I got a new coach next season. He played very defensice football so I got worse in football. When Im looking back at it I could really make it to a topclub

theres always been players who've had 1/2 of busquets playstyle (either really good defenders or really good with the ball/playmakers) but never someone like busquets who has both of those qualities, the only one I can think of is Gago but unlucky injuries plagued his career, so yea you're right

Finally someone understood the quality and effort busquets makes for barca. Without busquets barca is nothing. Barca is saved by messi busquets pique and ter stegen. I know pique have been inconsistent but wenever he played well he has shined the most on our backline and he has saved us so many games. People want FDJ to play instead of busquets if we did that right now we’ll lose every game because busquets controls every movement in this team. Fdj is not upto that level yet. He will get there if he plays along busquets for a while. only real barca fans who watches full matches will know this. Glad you are one ❤️💙

Its funny how you have to make it such that apparently only Barcelona has 'super rare' talents which you will never ever see again. And then point out about the tap-in merchant, who at 33 years of age, still plays better than 99% of La Liga. And the fact that the tap-in merchant won the UCL 3 times in a row, while you guys never made it past the semis. But hey, the best players in the world are apparently all in Barcelona and are apparently the only one worth watching. LOL Keep living with that thought. Talking about 'super rare'... I have never seen a player like Busi, I am sure you people will never see anyone like him, with all due respect to Verratti, Fernandinho, Stevie G, Casemiro, etc etc but you'll never find a CDM as classy as Busquets. Simple defensive contributions, break in plays, small yet effective tackles, Taking sting out of opposition, one touch play, pull backs, disguised passing, amazing vision, fighting spirit, immaculate Positioning, etc etc this guy has everything and proved his quality all through his career. I am sorry Barcs but good luck, you are not gonna replace busquets ever. He was just one of a Kind.
