------------
In this Broadcast Award-winning, BAFTA and Emmy Award-nominated entertainment show, Taskmaster tyrant Greg Davies (Man Down, Cuckoo), with the help of his loyal assistant Alex Horne (The Horne Section and the show’s creator), sets out to test the wiles, wit and wisdom of five hyper-competitive comedians.
Comedians that have risked life, limb, and dignity in the hope of making the Taskmaster proud so far include: Frank Skinner (The Frank Skinner Show), Mel Giedroyc (The Great British Bake Off), Romesh Ranganathan (Asian Provocateur), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Sally Phillips (Bridget Jones’ Diary), Rose Matafeo (Edinburgh Comedy Award Winner 2018), and Russell Howard (The Russell Howard Hour). Unaware of what awaits them in each wax-sealed envelope, only one competitor can become the victorious owner of His Royal Task-ness’ golden head and be crowned the next Taskmaster Champion.

@@wellwithmeri8222 He's not wrong, though he needed context and better wording. Gender pay gap isn't real, at least for the US where we have the Equal Opportunity Act. There is an earnings gap between how much women work vs how much men work. It approximates to the number the "feminists" claim to be the reason why women don't get paid enough. Those kind of people only want the benefits that are convenient for them and don't want any criticism, lest the criticizers be called "misogynistic, sexist pigs" or something similar.

I absolutely love that B-Roll of Liza's spinning lizard toy is being used as the break cards. I always get the feeling that they have total integrity with the tasks and stats, and whenever someone accomplishes a truly long lasting or long distance task they genuinely do time/measure/film it fully to see what happens over the course of its run, so I'm just imagining them sitting around filming that spinning lizard for 86 minutes... and she taped Greg's face on it, inadvertently making it the perfect kind of visual to use. Long nerdy ramble TL;DR: I appreciate all the little production details, easter eggs, callbacks, and the cinematography of all the task intro and break sequences.

I didn't get why everyone interpreted her "manly" task as her being a broken woman. Spouses do nice things for each other, such as bringing them snacks. There was nothing in her demeanor that suggested she was being treated as a servant, abused, or whatnot. Yes, it was a good interpretation of manliness by showing the "guy" lazing around watching TV, but that doesn't mean that she herself was "broken."
@boneeque
@boneeque Жыл бұрын
@@KelpTheGreat I don't think there is anyone who enjoys serving anyone like a butler, even loved ones, so doing it 24/7 while they lie around watching TV alone makes you lifeless. We like to make them happy, but if we do it 24/7 without anything in return (not even a look), it gets tiresome. Coach potatoes don't even look at you, that's why she was seen as a "broken" woman. Doing everything for nothing.
