First time watching this series, in areas was pleasantly surprised, but for the most part my expectations were met. That being said I want to know what you guys thought of the show :D

Professor Pyg is actually way more intimidating and dark in the comics, they really had to tone him down to fit CN’s standards.

This show also taps into Batman’s more intelligent and detective personality

I was so pissed when this show got cancelled.

If this show continued it would have been a beast, because they would have eventually brought in a good classic villain like joker or riddler and the tone of the show was perfect for those villains

Funny enough, Magpie’s design in this show is actually her best outfit out of all of her appearances.

I actually really enjoyed this series.

Good review on Beware the Batman but for me personally I wished we got more green lantern the animated series because that series was really awesome and badass and way better then this show in my opinion

It was a pretty good show, definitely did a great job at giving some of Batman's lesser known villians some time in the spotlight. While it was short lived, it surely did it's job!

Honestly? I'm glad that this series dosen't have Joker. I'm seriously getting tired of seeing him over and over again.

I'm okay with Batman losing his cool. I'm all for different interpretations after 80 years. There's only so many times I can see the same characters have the same moral lessons or react the same way all the time. I'm definitely more accepting of characters like Batman and Superman having different interpretations than most it seems. Just don't be a bad writer like Tom King's Batman run or even worse Bendis' Superman run and I'm okay with trying something new.

I was disappointed when they canceled Beware The Batman

Great Series,If we can only wish that it would get a Revival for the DC Universe Streaming Service.

Underrated show with so much wasted potential. Still has great fight scenes and detective work for Batman though.

I really enjoyed the series. The story is set at a time before our usual Batman series begin. Alfred is younger, Gordon is not commissioner, Barbara is a younger kid and Two-Face is just developing. I hope more people check it out because it is really good and I want to see them do more Batman and The Outsiders type stuff. The fact that this show was cancelled is more proof why DC is the most mishandled franchise.

Not a perfect show, but not lacking much in quality either. The animation was decent, the characters were well-realized, the fight scenes were really good, and the voice acting of Anthony Ruivivar as Batman was surprisingly top notch.

I'm telling you when Batman lost his cool on croc I was shaking,i think it's the shows way of showing that Batman is human and flawed and he has his breaking point,and also I think the voice actor sounded awesome,not as great as Conroy but still,in fact I think all the voice acting were solid.and I also like how Bruce and bats are referring to each other like they are both totally different person. the thing that ways the show down is that the animation looks off sometimes and it's frustrating because you know the animators had the best of intentions,also the show depends on you suspending your disbelieve way too much,for example the magpie episode where she broke out of prison with bearly any effort and started a robbing spree all in the same night and bats needs to turn around and stop her in the same night! my favorite episode will have to be the episode in which bats and katana are trapped in a building trying to stop lady shiva,and the line Batman said to katana(some allies are just too precious to leave behind) was emotional(and that's my favorite episode).overall I think the shows underrated,its got problems but u can tell the creators love Batman,and the way cnetwork treated the show is just bad.hoped it could have gotten a second season.

I dont get how this show was cancelled. Every time I have the oportunity to see comments about it, most of them are positive! I have to admit I loved it! It was different and brought some new perspectives to the scene. If they ever think about bringing it back i'll be here waiting

I kinda digged the intro

I watched this show while it was airing and while I enjoyed it, it didn't leave much of an impact on me. At most I remembered Katana being a cool partner, Alfred being a surprising badass, and that sweet theme song.

this series was dope, but batman's lips and Alfred's chin were always a distraction, those facial features always looked sooo weird

To the point on Kantianism, i would say it gives the charavyer more texture, it makes him human. To think after everything he goes thru every night along with the trauma and complexity of his relationships that often end up broken, to think hed be unaffected feels like poor writing. Bruce always rises above it but Bruce is also a character that is deeply wounded. Its part of what makes his character so great and refreshing! Jst my input

I remember just binging this show, I bought the lego set with a grey version of the suit from this show just for that mini figure, it reminded me of Batman Begins and had so much interesting things going for it. I still think the Humpty Dumpty episodes are my favourite

I love the art style and the earth One references like Alfred being a military badass are very nice additions. I do like the idea of using almost unknown villains only, I like this show honestly cause it’s very enjoyable. It’s not as good as the other Cartoon Network dc show Green Lantern (definitely recommended).

This show was a hidden gem on CN. Too bad it was cancelled for being too dark at episode 11.

I always used to entertain the idea that this and Green Lantern The Animated Series shared a universe

Alfred being an ex British Spy was not him being reinvented, he always has been ex-MI6, it’s how he’s able to patch up Batman and aid him in his detective work.

Pyg and Toad were great! The darkly foppish but genuine friendship was amazing. It's a lso a great improvement over comics Pyg, since what he's actually like is the equivalent of fangoria/gorn

i caught bits and pieces of it when it first came out and was not a fan of the art style. but hearing the story bits i feel like i could try it out, im always down for a new batman story

I still remember bingeing the series about 3 years ago it was pretty good

I wasn't keen on it at the start, but once I was a few episodes in I found myself invested, Dent was done really well and Two-Face is one of my favourite villains, he usually gets screwed over in movies, but luckily animated projects are on his side; it was also good to see lesser known villains get the spotlight, sure it didn't always work, but it was great to see them been given a chance. I wasn't keen on Katana, but again I eventually got used to it, and Barbara was... Unbearable. I would have liked to see what this show could have done with Robin, either one of them, preferably Dick or Tim; and even some more well known villains and other characters; I imagine that was planned for further seasons once it had established itself.

The best thing about this show was The Killer Croc episode where he almost loses it while Alfred is gone. FINALLY. We get to appreciate the power of not only Alfred, but of Bruce's will power. If you get a glimpse at how far he could go and how lethal he really is, it elevates his heroism. He's not just a boring (I won't kill) nerdy square. He's a killer, holding himself back...and every man has his limits. Hence why he NEEDS Alfred.

I enjoyed the series as well. I don't overanalyze I don't nitpick every little detail apart. I just accept it as it is, going with the flow and just enjoying it. The fact that it has new villains new Heroes different versions of old characters it's just interesting in different. I can just take the series as a new interpretation of an old classic.

I liked the show and it's art style/Animation/Claymation. I liked the different take on the villains and if there would have been a second season, the series could have introduced the traditional Batman Villains. Batman could have had different Villains in the beginning of his career, and I did like the different version of Alfred in this show. The series wasn't given a chance to attract an audience because it's continuity was interrupted by delaying airing the second half of the season. Then the network released the second half of the season just because it should show the remainder of the season. Not a good way to attract an audience. It's been 7 years now since this show aired and no other Batman Series has been developed and broadcasted since. I'd like to see an alternate universe animated series with Batman and Catwoman together, married, and with children with Damien Wayne as Selena Kyle Wayne's Stepson. That would be interesting. Another version would be Batman takes over the "League of Assassins" and he reforms the league as the "League of Rectitude' or some similar title. Unfortunately, even as a alternate universe, you couldn't call it the "League of Justice" for obvious reasons. However, that would probably would be the correct title change for the League if Batman took it over.

they definitely didnt give this show enough budget or license to shine. they did great with what they had though. from ep 6 on I was fully on board with the world they created.

I also wish there had been more episodes to develop that the story develop and grow and its own unique way.

Grew up with it. Loved it. Was sad that it only got a single season. Plenty of potential.

The thing with the Beware the Batman villains, is after seeing the weird, cracked mirror version of the classic villains in The Batman, many of which did not work for me, I was glad to see some new faces. I really liked Magpie's design and characters like Silver Monkey and Phosporous Rex really worked for me. Definitely my favorite if the animated Batman toons after the 90s series

Another thing that definitely was not a coincidence on the part of WB was that a lot of the lesser known villains in this are shared with Arkham Origins which came out later that year. To be specific; Anarchy, Shiva, Killer Croc, and Deathstroke

As a kid I really liked it because it waa the first gritty batman show I saw after growing up with Brave and the Bold. I longed for the edginess which it gave me some. Looking back I admire Brave and the Bold for its camp.

I only ever saw one episode of this show cuz CN literally aired it new at like 5:30 am like they just wanted it gone.

I love this series! I actually got it on DVD, I like it so much... I'm not a big fan of the animation style, but it's a must see for any bat-fan!

Batman loses his cool all the time. Examples that spring to mind are after the death of Jason, and whenever a hack written misinterprets angsty as angry and has him beat some villains into comas.

I think that if this series was to continue we would eventually build up to the classic villains like joker and penguin

A Alfred without a mustache is just a nightmare

It grew on me too, and I really do like it, but I wholeheartedly agree with some of the confusing tones. It pains me that it never lasted long enough for more classic batman rogues to emerge- I get the idea of avoiding a joker story but reinventing anarky a cackling extremely pale chaotic big bad kind of undermined that.

First time I saw Alfred I thought "Is this a crossover episode with Hitman? Am I going to see Batman fight against/with Agent 47?"

This is the first and probably last Batman show to use Deathstroke as a main villain. I'm glad that the show wanted to have its own unique roster of villains rather than reusing the same 8 (Joker & Harley, Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, Bane, Penguin, etc.) but half of them felt really lacking and underwhelming though. Didn't deserve to get cancelled. Hopefully both GLTAS and this show can be brought back like Young Justice was.

When it first came out I didn’t like it at all. It was not Batman TAS. And I think that and the fact it kept getting moved around on Cartoon Network got it canceled. I recently watched the entire series on HBO Max and loved it. I loved the reimagining of all the characters, especially Alfred. It provided much more depth to the character. And I loved the use of lesser known villains as well. Like more have posted before, I wish HBO Max would do more seasons.

I actually liked pyg and toad!! Could have tried to go darker but for what it was I was entertained. This coming from someone who didn’t think it was go to be good. All in all an enjoyable watch if you’re not looking for purity.

While I have barely watched this series, I have to ask regarding your comments about the BTAS having Mr Freeze being the closest villain whom we have any pity for, you should revisit Feat Of Clay parts 1 and 2. VERY good heartstring puller
