The wrench is called a spud wrench. They are used by steel erecters to build buildings and iron bridges. The spike is called a drift and is to line up the two pieces of iron in order to insert the bolt.

I looked up Dueber watches. Most expensive one I saw was $3,000 and it was in perfect condition. It was 14K Gold too. Most I've seen are $100 - 500. I hope yours is very rare. It will need to be to fetch $5 to $10K. Great video.

My mom has an old pocket watch which was her brother's before he died many years ago. It doesn't work and one day I'm going to find someone who can fix it since it used to work when her brother owned it. Her brother used it to check the time sometimes and brought it places. It'd be great to see it working and looking great again.

The pocket wach was a true treasure. Sad you can not know the history behind it, who carried it, how it got into the river. I inherited my Granddaddie's pocket watch. I thought it was his original watch but learned later it wasn't. His first watch he bought when he was 14, working for the railroad. That would have been over 100 years old when I got it. This watch he bought in the early 1920s after his first one quit working. Still very happy to have it.

I'm very new to magnet fishing, the kit I ordered off Amazon should be delivered this afternoon. I figure I'll take a thick plastic ice scraper to keep myself from getting stuck or cut by scraping the magnet with my hand. Also a nylon scrub brush, and brushes with steel and brass bristles. I'm looking forward to getting started!

Dude, seriously - timepieces are something I follow closely. I have an antique Ansonia, early 1900's. Paid A fair amount to have it restored, but it's really rare. There's a huge collectors market out there. Do it and post pics.

If you put that rusted stuff you want in vinegar for a couple weeks it will eat all that rust off and leave clean metal behind.

7:57 that's a "spud wrench" - ironworkers use them when connecting steel beams and columns. it's still good.... just clean it up and i'll give u 20 bucks for it

Hey Dani, curious if you ship to Canada I had a 360 degree magnet and it went missing I think someone swiped it on me. It was a gift so I dont know where they go it or if they bought it when they came down to the USA for 2 weeks last year. All I got now are my 600 lb magnets and they suck so bad lol. I'm from down South Carolina way. What kind of rocks are you finding that are magnetic? OBTW, it's not illegal here to throw a magnet in a stream or river. It is however illegal to remove or disturb anything from or in said water. It MIGHTIER be an archeological artifact and it is a crime to remove of disturb it.
