Less of an English saying, more of a historical and biblical saying: "He sees the writing on the wall" or "To see the writing on the wall" - comes from the Bible, specifically Belshazzar's Feast. Short version, at Belshazzar's Feast a hand appeared from nothing and wrote upon the wall, none of Belshazzar's wise men could read it until they sought out Daniel who, while he couldn't read it (I think?) said 'Your father lost everything when he failed to heed God's warnings', and thus the Writing on the wall has become synonymous with portents of doom or ill omens. So, Olivera definitely saw the writing on the wall which is why he decided back off. aaaand somebody already said as much as this. Curses!

I’m pretty sure most gold players can do the same actions that pros do, but what they don’t understand is that the speed and complexity that pros do those actions at makes up something greater than the sum of its parts. It’s not just doing the actions, but doing them quickly and fluidly in a way that makes them vastly more impactful. APM without strategy doesn’t make you good and vice versa, but if you have both, now you’re cooking.

At gold they do the same build while hitting a minute late. I am currently diamond and its mix. Some people know how to play and are very good but play for fun. Like I could get upgrades play ling bane or I could do 6 minute ultralisks.

What would it take to change zerg pathing so that they choose paths with creep over paths with not creep? Does alpha star choose creeped paths over non-creeped paths? Shortest path isnt usually the fastest path without creep.

About "Hij ziet de bui al hangen", in Italian there is the equivalent "Ha visto che aria tira", that can be traslated as "He saw how the wind blows" . I just learned the English equivalent "See the writing on the wall" here in the comments. Thanks for the education everyone!

roach opening make Serral transition to mid-late game ez. it;s quite a good strat vs agrro players like Clem that can easily micro and target fire banelings and such.

Hey Lowko, do you know when a big rat is pinning down a smaller rat, the big rat needs to intentionally let the smaller rat to win somewhat 30% of the times to keep the smaller rat playing with him.😏

Honestly watching all these Serral games makes me think that the other players play themselves, especially Clem in a previous video were we have seen him just go with the reaper and wreck chaos but because he is fighting Serral he takes less risks regardless of Serrals poor positioning or mistakes, I am a firm believer at this point that if you don't tell Serral opponents they are fighting Serral they would consistently win more games instead of playing stupid passive games or not taking risks that win games that they would take with any other player. What I'm trying to say is that Serral's opponents cover for Serrals mistakes because they are too in their heads instead of playing the game in front of them.

What is that 1-racks proxy pressure Olivera tried in game 1? I thought proxy barracks started at 2 racks. How would that have looked if not scouted? 2 reapers fast in the opponent’s base plus a bunker?

I think he was trying to trick Serral to stop droning and then he would have done the 3rd command centre afterwards to take the macro lead. No way he thought he could win against Serral with that after being spotted

I didn't like that transition for Serral in game 2, or the GG out which seemed rather early. He could have pulled out a win if he had had a decent runby while Olivera was trying to push with a half-sized army in the middle.

This was preemptively responded to by Serral by the virtue of getting the opening batches of roaches out. Tweaking his composition a little more could've helped moderately, but it wouldn't have been a direct solution. It would've definitely been better against the vipers to try and establish the push, but still leaves Serral response patterns to detonate the widowmines before sending the vipers in with sacrificial Zerglings or tossing biles.

There is no Chinese server anymore, although it may come back. I believe most Chinese players play on Korea with a vpn.

It annoys me when I hear "Terran is playing marine-marauder-medivac-mine again"... as if terran was not playing with 90% of the units at their disposal... the real race that tend to mass one unit is Zerg ! Like, make a million zergling-baneling and you're fine !
