I believe that Maria's resistance to God's calling on her life was why she was to see 4 of her 5 children taken from her. When referring to the Holy Spirit's anointing, the apostle Paul makes known that the gifts of faith are given as God wills, and that there is neither male nor female in the Lord. However, Paul also states that he does not permit a woman to teach, and in his epistles he emphasises that 'a woman should be in submission to her husband as unto the Lord.' In God's household a woman does not exercise authority over the man, but the man is given power and authority on his head to rule his own household with equity. Christ is Head of the Church. While the man bearing God's image and likeness goes bareheaded, the woman covers her head when praying or prophesying, in recognition of God's Law and Order. I write as a prophetess. God ordained that woman be subject to her husband. This is God’s law and order in nature, the Church, and in households. God gave man made in His own Image and Likeness power and authority on his head to subdue the earth and to have dominion over all creation. Adam was created first, then Eve - and she from Adam’s substance. The spiritual covering on Eve’s head came through Adam, which is why a woman should cover her head when praying or prophesying, but a man needs no covering. The covering of her head is a sign of her subjection to God and His law and order. Paul testified that he knew of no other custom in the church of God. As our example, Jesus gave His disciple John charge of His mother, Mary, so that she was covered, as a chosen son would his widowed mother.
