Service Dog Takes The Amtrack To New York! ll Travel Vlog 2021

We took the Amtrack train for the first time from Philadelphia to New York City to visit the new Harry Potter Store there. We did have trouble with the Amtrack on the way to New York, but it was much better on the way back. I will say that now since I know how to use the accommodating system I would use it again for travel.
Overall it was a very fun adventure and I can't wait to go back to explore the city some more with Sirius!

I don’ understand how you were able to keep your cool on the train on your way to New York. I can’t ride trains because of my anxiety and I can get claustrophobic sometimes, what’s weird is that I can’t ride trains but I tend to be fine of planes. Sirius was a good boy!!!

Just a tip! If it’s hot don’t give him ice water it can give them bloat which can twist the stomach! Normal water or a little cold is fine but on hot days don’t give ice water!

Great video!! I bought a Penski 12' box truck in Elmsford N.Y. 27 miles from N.Y.C. I have to go get it. I am taking Amtrak to N.Y.C. out of Jacksonville Florida with my German Shepherd service Dog Archer. I was informed to call Amtrak before so they can reserve a handicap seat. I saw that you went to a REDCAP spot to board. My service Dog is very well trained so I am not worried about his behavior. I am worried about bathroom stops for him. It is a 15 hour, 1000 mile trip. He is trained to hold it, but still I have that worry. I am taking a scooper just incase. Do you have suggestions? I am bringing water, bowl. I hated seeing you sitting on the floor. I am 66 and could do that if I had to. Thank you for recording your trip, it helped me to know it can be done, even as hot as it was for you. David and Archer. 😢

cant wait till my sdit is ready for super busy places! She has been socialized with pretty much everything but she tends to be a little to curious and it can be hard to get her attention! Shes getting there though! I got to say sirus is definitely our role model lol

So glad that after the super stressful and inaccessible train ride, you were able to get to the Harry Potter store in Museum forever to wait for your reservation. I’m thinking of going in August, do you know if you can make the reservations before you get there or do you have to wait in line to do it

To make a reservation you have to scan the QR code that’s in front of the store and that puts you in the virtual queue

@@siriusly.working5866 thanks for explaining, so there’s no way to make one like get the QR code for the website you can only do it when you’re actually physically in front of the store?

@@siriusly.working5866 I suppose that makes sense though I really wish there was a way to do itbefore hand because it would be a lot more accessible than having to do what you guys did and walk all that way while you’re waiting or stand outside in line in the heat
