I just bought that tool and I did exactly what u did with with second tire to see if the tool worked...Warning to all if u are in relearn mode and the first tire doesn't work do not go to the second tire bc now your check engine light will come on and low tire light... u cant complete the cycle bc u programmed the second tpms to the driver side...Once u get around the car the driver side rear light will aluminate and u dont have a tpms to scan bc u scanned the passenger front passenger rear and then driver rear an obviously the fourth is the driver front but that tpms doesn't work...now the cycle is incomplete...I hope that makes sense...Service tire monitoring system will appear...Just get a new tpms and the relearn.

No device needed. Simply let air out of each tire in sequence. When horn beeps do the same for each tire. Two beeps when complete.

Not necessarily, i just bought one that was hit in the front. There are several ways to reset this system, alot more than just resetting sensor and learning tire position

True but if you replaced a sensor than you will need to scan it.

It depends on the year. Newer models require this.

@@mikethorne7912 Your car will learn the sensor for the air valve releasing air out of the tire. Scan is another method but not needed if you do as above

Easiest thing you can do, assuming your tires don’t actually lack air, is nothing. Just live with the light, and visually inspect your tires the old fashioned way. These sensors constantly have issues on just about all makes and models.

If it don't read on the dash than it's a bad sensor in that tire. Replace and try it again

I have a 2013 GMC Sierra SLT and my tire pressure monitoring system light came on today, so I check the readings and it won't even give any so I assume all of my sensors are probably bad. My question is do you really need to buy sensors? If you use a tire pressure gauge it tells you the pressure and you just put in more air if needed. Is the computer going to disable my truck to drive if I don't change the sensors?

Depending on the year model, older models you don't need it. When you go into learn more, you put air in the tire for something like 5 seconds, stop and wait, and you will hear a short chirp like honk. Move to the next tire and repeat. Some people say you can also let out air. Look it up, but there are other way for earlier models.

It could mean one of your tire sensors is bad. Is one of your tires not showing PSI? If so that tire needs a new TPMS sensor. Make sure they replace the right one. If you rotate the tires without relearning the tire with show the same tire when moved being they are bluetooth. Thanks for watching! LH front sensor looks to be dead.display pressure on dash front tires i,ll bet was from RH front tire

Unfortunately Tony, these sensors suck really bad, ive had to replace 5 so far and have one i need to do now, and have only had the truck 6 years. My neighbor had an avalanch3 a few years ago, and his sensors went bad every few months. Good luck and hope you can find some way to combat this problem. If you do let me know. My tire monitor system came on tonight. What I need to know is it safe to drive? I live on disability so I am not rich. So what I can tell is when I get new tires I tell them of the display and it will be repaired? I own a 2009 silverado

You can get back to it by pressing info until you get the blank/black screen and then pressing the top/odometer button. The only thing is you have to do it every time you turn on your car.
