The Late Late Show with James Corden

Big Bird, Elmo, Grover, The Count, Oscar The Grouch, Cookie Monster, Bert and Abby Cadabby sing a special Late Late Show version of Sunny Days (the classic Sesame Street theme song) while searching for James Corden. But before they can find the late night host, the Sesame Street characters stop to play a quick game of The Price Is Right and derail a taping of The Bold & The Beautiful with Denise Richards and Jacqueline Wood.

Each week night, THE LATE LATE SHOW with JAMES CORDEN throws the ultimate late night after party with a mix of celebrity guests, edgy musical acts, games and sketches. Corden differentiates his show by offering viewers a peek behind-the-scenes into the green room, bringing all of his guests out at once and lending his musical and acting talents to various sketches. Additionally, bandleader Reggie Watts and the house band provide original, improvised music throughout the show. Since Corden took the reigns as host in March 2015, he has quickly become known for generating buzzworthy viral videos, such as Carpool Karaoke."

Sesame Street is among many of my favorite franchises and shows and I been loving it all my life no matter where they go. @@imani.3135 ya i think that happens when your voice is good, but not special. You look like you're showing off but you're not bc you enjoy singing alone, too. You can't wait to sing w/anybody who can carry a tune bc it's very bonding. If someone sings better than you, you happily sing backup and you let them take the solos. If someone needs a little help, you won't go for the harmony, you'll stay with the person thru a tough interval. If James was my best friend, I'd get nodes in like 6 months.

I had the pleasure of visiting the set last year and I turned into a big kid, again! We got to meet Oscar and Abby (Elmo was already gone for the day and Abby was filming a scene). And we got to visit Big Bird's nest and see Hooper's Store. Being there is magical and even though you can see the bones of the show, it really feels like you're there and the puppets feel alive.

It’s been existent for directly a half-century and a year (51 yrs) now (so this video about Sesame Street characters being guest shows on a late show with a real-time host that almost always has real-time celebrities as guest stars was made to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the franchise). And thank God it’s the longest-running show (at least by children’s show standards), because regardless of whether it’s the late 20th Century or the early 21st Century, Sesame Street is pretty much the most legendary (in terms of its quality, impact, characters, animation, spin-offs like the original Elmo’s World and also the incredibly underrated Bert & Ernie’s Great Adventures, humour, skits unlike Channel Awesome’s and influence) show for little kids (and older audiences as well). Now, for it to be the TV show to live for an extra half-Century, and then after the 2060s, it will finally have lived for more than a century! And much more later on when it’s the 22nd Century!

IKR! With the way Muppets including Sesame Street Characters move, they really are reminiscent towards cartoon animals like kittens, rodents and birds like Big Bird, who might be closest to a penguin from the inside because he can’t fly (no pun intended on one of the segments of Big Bird Sings where female squirrels sing about the fact that he can’t fly) and a canary from the outside because of his yellow feathers and orange beak/legs! XD
