What’s weird is some of the trim levels have a homelink mirror you would think they would use the same wire harnesses on all Camrys my friend has a 2019 Camry se but it has a factory package on it that Includes blind spot Homelink mirror a better backup camera turn single on the outside mirrors I wish they offered that on the Camry trd I have a 2020 trd , I know you can upgrade the stereo to the jbl and I think blind spot but in 2020 you couldn’t up grade anything inside, I love the car but would of like more features inside.

Good vídeo. Do You have or share the link where I can buy for My car ?

If a 2020 Camry already has an automatic dimming rear mirror does the installation process change or is it the same? Because im debating on getting the genk85-a frameless one with homelink

Hi. I'm looking to this for my Kia Telluride, but I'm nervous because the amount of stuff you need to pull out like the A pillar, weather strip, fuse box side panel and then probing a wire with 12v. I might be able to give the connection but putting those parts back, is a bit initmedating. But kudos to you. You seem to know what you are doing. I have zero experience in these things.

I have a 2016 Honda Accord, and I wouldn't say that these installs are too bad at all. Especially if you can find a video on KZfaq for your specific car (since I drive a Honda Accord, I fortunately had many) on removing the A pillar, that's the hardest part, I would say. Other than that, everything should simply be pryable or unscrewable.

@@SEsGarage what gauge wire did you use and do you have a link for it?

Great job but my Lexus dealer nearly had a fit when they found that I had fished wiring down the A-pillar for my radar detector. The technician, the advisor, and the service manager met with me to inform me how dangerous this could be. They told me that with all the airbags there may be a problem if they ever inflated and the wiring was in front of them. I left the wiring and told them I'd deal with it if it happens.
@SEsGarage3 жыл бұрын
theres factory wiring back there as well, those airbags are so strong that theyd rip right through this small gauge wiring
@bearcreekdesign53593 жыл бұрын
@@SEsGarage that's what I assumed. I felt they were just way over reacting and making a big deal out of nothing.

You’re supposed to take the a-pillar off and properly secure the wiring to the original wiring harnesses already in place in the a-pillar. You can’t just do a half ass job and run the cable over the air bag without removing the a-pillar cover, tuck it inside the weather stripping, or not secure with zip ties. There’s a reason why they told you it’s not safe, that cable you ran, being in front of the air bags, could literally fling it at high speeds on your face or even cause the radar detector to go flying at you. In other words, the cable being there is a hazard as the car manufacturer didn’t design for cables to be in the front of the air bags during crashes.

@@im_sarge_bro4542 we drove it this way for 18 years with zero issue and just sold it. All the wiring was removed for the next owners so you can rest easy now.

@@bearcreekdesign5359 you drove it that way for 18 years with no air bags deployed, that’s why.

It's got an SOS button you are never going to ever use as opposed to an auto mirror you look at a thousand times a journey.. don't make sense!
