What an awesome setup. It’s getting better, & better

You are the personification of an Australian, legend and relaxed. I think most people I know including myself would love to be you. I would fish a lot but also I am mad about storm photography so id have my cameras ready....ok to get perfect storm shots during the day you can order a MK lightning bug, also buy ND filters to extend your exposure. But at night if the storm is close just set your focus on infinite, f11, iso 100-200 and your exp time can be almost anything you want. Just remember the longer you open the shutter the more grainy your shot will be. I try for 2 second exp on a 2 second exp so you dont miss any bolts!!! Stay safe most of all! You are in storm heaven! BTW in your car is by far the safest place you can ever be, look up Faraday cage effect. Ive been out the back of Fitzroy crossing with bolts hitting everything around me and I swear being in my car pretty much saved me! Also are you on a flood plain? Just think about that

Love your content brother however, being the son of a well known bushman I must say that my dad wouldn’t have over engineered things like you have. Mainly because, midnight is when you find out what sort of man you really are. By this I mean, tarps and loose guy ropes flailing about in torrential rain and wind builds character. It makes a man realise how capable and resilient he really is. My father Russell Coight wouldn’t have prepared as well as you have for the reasons I have outlined, however he would no doubt approve! Great adventure. It’s interesting that you’ve gone for the induction cooktop, they sure are easy to clean but use a bit of electricity. The Wet up there, wherever you are, is brutal with the heat & humidity. An amazing experience for sure. I stayed at Adele’s Grove in the Wet for a short while, the only person there until some backpackers turned up and camped RIGHT NEXT TO ME! 😅 Had to walk over to the ladder at the billabong every few hours during the night and climb down the ladder to get wet and cool off a little. It was 43º and didn’t cool down much at night. Happy fishing and looking forward to the next episode. Cheers.
