I've tried a few different note apps for personal notes, but none of those are available at work due to policy. So this really makes sense for those of us who have to stay in the Microsoft ecosystem at work. The tips on multiple notebooks and telling notebooks apart are great. Thanks!

Thanks for the video! I have notebooks on both my work and my 2 personal outlook accounts (which can get a bit confusing). I didn't realize you could change the colour of the notebook, so maybe I can use that to differentiate the notebooks. FYI, one of your email addresses wasn't blurred out at around the 1 min and a half mark.

Well made video. I was excited to find this solution, so that I do not have to switch between OneNote and Evernote and have to know how to use both applications. However, my work OneNote offers only the "Sign in with a different account" where I see in your video the option to "Add an account". I assume this is a policy setting from my company or do I miss something?

Hi Andy, thanks so much for sharing this video! I have a question. I already have this structure of personal and work OneNote accounts. Actually I don't need the work account on OneNote, but I have to be logged in with my work acc as I need it on Outlook and Word. So my active acc for OneNote is always personal. But if I create an Outlook Task (Right click on the page - red flag on the upper right corner of appeared menu), it appears in the calendar as created by my Work acc. So if you could tell 1. how can I log off from my OneNote work acc without logging off from other Office applications (it's Office 365)? 2. how can I control what user's Outlook Task is ? Hello. I'm a freelancer who uses a single business account for both work-related stuff and personal matters. Do you think this is a good approach? Hello Andy, i have existing notebooks in my personal account and I changed the name of one of the notebooks. However, wehn I added this account to my work computer, the old name of the notebook still appears. I've checked my iphone and the name of the notebooks is not also updated. Thanks in advance. I'm a new user of OneNote.

If I move a section from my work account to my personal account, it preserves the original owner with my initials. If I were to leave my company and account closed, does that impact my access to the sections moved?

In my case, my work onenote account is a one way traffic, you can transfer into, but u cannot export or copy notebook out of it

PLEASE if ANYONE can help - TELL ME: How do I create a new one note FILE!? New files, for new projects!? (This video just shows a nightmare scenario - even with a new ACCOUNT, you still see all notebooks! NO!) I desperately need to have a SEPERATE ONE NOTE FILE for each one of my projects. I DO NOT WANT TO SEE all of my notebooks in one place when I open the app! I can't focus that way! 1) I like history. I want to open OneNote, and see ONLY HISTORY. 2) I write scripts. I want to open a NEW FILE of OneNote, and see only SCRIPT WRITING. 3) I have a work project, I want to open up a OneNote WORK file, and see only WORK. How can I do that? As it stands, I open OneNote, and I see "Grocery Shopping List," "Funny Animal Video Links" and other random notebooks on the side panel. I DON'T WANT ALL MY NOTEBOOKS TOGETHER. I can't focus this way! Some people are saying on the internet - you can't do this? WHY!? :(
