Muzan’s beef is with Ubayashiki’s family in general. Over 1000 years the head of the clan would have constantly changed. So it makes sense he wouldn’t know what the current leader looks like. Much like how no one has ever seen Muzan’s face because he constantly stays hidden. (Excluding tanjiro)

Ubuyashiki is actually the family name. The Ubuyashiki family is basically behind the demon slayer corps. That is the reason Muzan hate people of that family. You'll get more info when you go further into the anime.😄(And remember, the Ubuyashiki guy and Muzan has a 1000 year age gap)

in the manga i read the place muzan is at is called 'infinite dimensional fortress' instead of the 'infinity castle' moniker we see it translated to in the anime. 'infinite dimensional fortress' is just so much more bad ass to me.
