Seth Apter Demo: Chalk Acrylics & Dye Sprays on the Gel Plate

Deeply edited version of my 1/25/23 Facebook Live demo sharing my process of creating backgrounds on the ‪@GelliArts‬ Gel Plate using my own lines of colors of Fresco Finish Chalk Acrylics from ‪@PaperArtsy‬ and Izink Dye Sprays from ‪@AladineDIY‬. It is all about starting with no plan and letting the layers tell me where to go.

*So* *grateful* you've begun including the YT community in your demos Seth ❤(though you always bring a new challenge for my budget -- as a lover of Robyn McClendon's work I know the beauty of the Izink sprays she uses but haven't seen the ones you're using until now -- uh-oh :)

Good afternoon 👋☺️ Mr. Seth Awesome demo Thank you for sharing it I really loved when you sprayed the dark blue and the purple and I loved the one that was just used to clean off your brayer really liked the deep orange colour but I'm not a terra cotta colour person I'm hoping to see some of your new Stamps used on those pieces sometime enjoy your weekend 👍☺️🦄👋

Thanks much Linda. The funny thing is that Part 2 of this FB Live demo was going to be using my stamps on these very backgrounds. But some challenges with the lighting led me to switch gears and use the new stamps on plain white paper. I am going to do my best to edit that part and upload it on KZfaq as well.

I love the way the colors look on the black card stock! I agree that the dye sprays add a great effect on top of the chalk paint!

Even with the poor video quality, I just love the look you created! I wish your dye sprays were available in Canada, I think they would be amazing to play with on the Gelli plate for sure! Thanks for the inspiration!💕🇨🇦

Thanks Cindy. I think the shops in Canada that carried the dye sprays have mostly sold through their stock. Of course there would be the added shipping but I do ship to Canada from my online shop.
